KELLOGG — Have you stopped by the Silver Valley Farmers Market this year and been impressed with a certain booth or vendor? Well now is your chance to let them know!

With just four weeks remaining, the market is opening their polls for their customers to come have some fun and give shout-outs to their favorite vendors.

There will be multiple categories for people to vote on, with the winners to be announced during the final market of the year in October.

More than 60 vendors have made Thursday evening appearances over the course of the four-and-a-half month market. Now the organizers want to let their customers’ voices be heard.

“This is just fun for customers to show their appreciation and support for the vendors who have been here for the last few months,” Silver Valley Chamber director Mallory Phillips said. “We have had so much success with the market this year and we want to acknowledge the people who have helped make it a success.”

Market patrons will be able to vote on several categories like apparel, food and many others.

An average of 20-30 vendors have been at each event, as well as a special musical guest, making shopping or grabbing a beer in the beer garden that much more enjoyable.

“We have had some great musicians this year. This week we have Justin James, a 19-year-old musician from Spokane, who is nationally known,” Phillips said. “I expect he’ll draw a pretty good crowd, so this week could be one of our best weeks at the market.”

As the fall weather closes in, folks should dress accordingly if they come out to enjoy the market.

The Silver Valley Farmer’s Market is Thursday evenings from 5-8 p.m. (weather dependant) on the lawn next to the Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce office.

Music by Justin James will also begin at 5 p.m.

Voting will continue throughout the remaining markets.
