Carol and Fred moved to the Silver Valley in 1988. They enjoyed and spent many winters in Arizona.

Carol had first worked as a dispatcher for the Westinghouse Company in Tukwila, Washington; she enjoyed this position and would often joke “she could tell men where to go”. She then owned and operated (along with her husband Fred) the Montgomery Ward store of Omak, Washington for ten years.

Carol was a member of the Miss Auburn Queen Contest organization, she served as director of the Omak Stampede Royalty; Carol had served as president of the Omak Soroptimist Club and had also served on the Omak Float committee.

Carol is survived by her husband Fred Ross of the family home of Osburn; two daughters Debbie (Rich) Kochanuski of Clifton Park, New York, Shelley (Keith) Henderson of Hillsboro, Oregon; two grandchildren Kayla Kochanuski of Phoenix, Arizona and Corrie Kochanuski also of Phoenix. Carol was preceded in death by her parents.

A Celebration of Carol’s Life will be held on Tuedsday, July 2, 2019, at 2:00 P.M. at the Mountain Valley of Cascadia of Kellogg; everyone is welcome.

Carol was known to be very quick-witted by her family and friends. She was so very loved and will be dearly missed.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, P.O. Box 4527, New York, NY 10163.
