KPD Roll Call: April 16-23

•Mobile patrol of Kellogg & Wardner.

•Attempted to serve papers on Upper 3rd. Negative contact.

•Handled a landline request regarding theft of services. Investigation is on-going.

•Attempted to locate a speeding vehicle in the Wardner area. Was able to locate a possible vehicle but was unable to speak with them.

•Public assist at the community center.

•Attempted to conduct a welfare check on E. Portland Ave. Negative contact.

•Dispatched to another welfare check on the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. After medical took a look at them, they turned out to be ok.

•Received a landline request regarding an on-going investigation.

•Called to a fight on progress in the 100 block of West Riverside. Cleared, parties separated and peace restored.

•Called to the Trail Motel for a welfare check with K77. Cleared agency assist.

•Foot patrols uptown McKinley, Main, W. Idaho and Ohio.

•Traffic stop Station/Division. Verbal for speed.

•Notified of abandoned vehicle in Deadwood Gulch. Located vehicle and contacted owner. They will be making arrangements to have it moved this weekend (need to go through Silver Mountain as it’s behind a locked gate). If not, vehicle was tagged 48 hr removal.

•Juvenile issues at bike track at Silver Mountain. Unfounded (one side said the other said they would throw rocks at the other, nothing was thrown).

•Threats 300 block W. Mission. After investigation, female subject was taken into custody for aggravated assault for pointing a firearm at another and threatening to shoot. Report completed.

•Traffic stop in the 600 block of Bunker Ave. Verbal.

•K74 & K71 to Post Falls to retrieve evidence.

•Evidence work/case follow-up.

•Citizen contact at KPD via phone reference Sex Offender questions. Directed them to Idaho State Police website page for Registered Sex Offenders.

•911 hangup 10 block of W. Mullan Avenue. Canceled as contact was made and person was unsure if they needed to call 911, not in Kellogg when information was relayed (possible DUI out in the county).

•Attempt to locate possible DUI, blue (possibly) Dodge last seen in the Old Farm Road area headed towards Pinehurst. No further information, unable to locate (UTL)/out of position

•Moved videos onto backup drive.

•Called to panhandle linen for a male who was throwing rocks at the windows, upon arrival two front windows had bricks thrown through them. Cleared report taken.

•Called to SMC for a male refusing to leave after being discharged, left without incident upon my arrival.

•Called back to SMC for the same male that was loitering outside the hospital, courtesy ride was given to Wal-Mart as male was looking to catch a ride to St. Regis possibly from there.

•Called to a 911 hang up in the 300 block of east Market, made contact with responsible for the house, cleared the home no signs of forced entry or disturbance, cleared necessary action taken (NAT).

•Citizen contact at the Amy Lynn apartments with a suspicious male. He didn’t want to talk and walked off.

•Citizen contact in the Casa De Oro parking lot with a suspicious person, stated they were waiting for their friend to pick them up. Cleared NAT.

•Foot patrols at Silver Mountain for Leadman ‘19.

•Report of window damage at Panhandle Linen (nothing new to report). Eventually contacted owner and collected information to pass along to investigating officer.

•Parking ticket issued, Division/Riverside within 20’ of intersection (and/or within crosswalk).

•Extra patrols at Mountain View Park as well as Cameron/Division/Bunker. Also patrolled Sierra Nevada and McKinley for the race.

•Attempt to locate erratic driving Semi trucks x3. Unable to locate (EB I90 last seen @ 37)

•Traffic stop Cameron/Short. Verbal for speed.

•Called to silver Mountain for a noise complaint, room was quiet upon arrival. Cleared public assist.

•Follow up on malicious injury to property case.

•Called to the gondolier for found 37 code. Somebody forgot their 420 on 04/20.

•Traffic stop in the 600 block of Bunker for a headlight out. Verbal for equipment.

•Traffic stop on the 50 on ramp, SFST’s were conducted however driver was negative 8004. Cleared verbal for headlight out.

•Citizen contact in the Hill Street Conoco parking lot who was vomiting. She was car sick and she had quickly jumped out of the vehicle before it happened in it...Cleared NAT.

•Suspicious circumstance on Jones Ave. in Wardner. The party was advised to recontact if the problem persisted. Cleared public assist.

•Welfare Check at the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. The party was found to be okay. Cleared public assist.

•Assisted K76 on a traffic stop.

•Citizen Contact on Hill St. near Teeter’s Field regarding curfew. The party was advised to head directly home.

•Dog complaint at the Amy Lynn Apartment’s for a dog in a vehicle for an excessive amount of time. No animal was inside the reported vehicle. Cleared – Unfounded.

•Responded to a report of fighting in a room at Silver Mountain. Upon arrival the parties were separated and advised to mind the noise or a citation for disturbing the peace would be issued. Cleared, peace restored. Well maybe for about 5 minutes.

•Responded a second time to same room at Silver Mountain for a noise complaint. One citation was issued for disturbing the peace. The subject was upset, but happy not to be going to jail, also known as “Jay Jay” according to him.

•Stationary patrol 500 block of Main in Wardner 20 minutes. 2 vehicles during this time both under speed limit.

•Evidence work/follow-up.

•Traffic stop McKinley/Government Gulch. Verbal for speed.

•Dog at large 200 block of E. Idaho. Found the owner of the dog and dog was placed inside. Was going to go with written warning but the dog in question will be gone as they are only puppy-sitting.

•Retrieved statement form for K72/K75.

•Dispatched to the 300 block of Main St, Wardner for a hit and run with property damage. After conducting my investigation, a report was made.

•Took a landline request regarding child abuse. Proceeded to Silver Mtn. Resort and made contact with parties involved. Found out an uncle was disciplining his nephews who were acting bad by making them run wind sprints, do push-ups and jumping jacks in the parking lot. Reporting party was just concerned for the children’s well-being. No action was taken other than giving the uncle a high five for parenting out of control juveniles.

•Responded to a vehicle crash on the 10 block of Diamond St. Report was taken and victim was transported to Kootenai Health.

•Assisted K77 with a traffic collision on Diamond Ave. Cleared agency assist.

•Responded to a report of illegal fireworks. Made contact with the responsible party and educated them on fireworks law in Idaho. Cleared verbal.

•Assisted County on a traffic stop in the Walmart parking lot. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Found lost keys in the post office mailbox on N. Chestnut. A contact card was left at the scene.

•School patrol.

•Wardner Patrol. Found water leak on Lucas St. Called water district.

•Follow up on abandoned vehicle on Mission. Vehicle has been removed by owner.

•Vin inspections X3 at KPD.

•Citizen contact on the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. Individual wanted to report harassment.

•Spotted an individual snooping around Panhandle Linen. When K77 got out to speak with the individual they disappeared. Nothing appeared to have been messed with.

•A resident picked up a dog that was running at large on the 300 block of W. Mullan Ave. Discovered the dog that was picked up was reported stolen a few months back. K77 took the dog back to the original owner.

•Assisted K72 with a public assist on the 600 block of W. Park.

•Responded to the city park for juveniles climbing on top of roofs on the sheds. Made contact with said juveniles and banned their park usage for the day.

•Dispatched to McDonald’s parking lot for a possible intoxicated driver. Made contact with individual and K77 was unable to determine if they were under the influence.

•Welfare check at the 600 block of W. Park. The party was found to be okay and advised to recontact 911 if needed.

•Citizen Contact at the 200 block of McKinley Ave. regarding walking in the middle of the road.

•The subject was advised to remain on the sidewalk after refusing a ride home.

•Citizen Contact at the 400 block of Railroad Ave. The subject was advised that he needed a light for his bicycle at night.

•Citizen Contact at the Amy Lynn Apartments. The subject refused to speak with us, but he made sure to let us know to “get on out of here” before he ran inside his house.

•Traffic Stop on the MP 50 westbound on ramp. Cleared verbal.

•Traffic Stop at the 100 block of E. Cameron. Cleared verbal.

•School patrol.

•Checked on abandoned vehicle deadwood gulch. Vehicle had been removed.

•Follow up on K76’s broken window case. Picked up some video footage.

•Dispatched to a Traffic hazard on the 800 block of W. Cameron Ave. Hazard had been removed by a citizen prior to my arrival.

•Conducted lots of foot patrols throughout the city.

•Checked on an open residential front door at the 400 block of Main St. in Wardner. The dog wasn’t too happy to see probie and was doing a great job of protecting the open front door.

•Last summers arson suspect has been arrested and charged!
