Work on St. Joe River Road to begin

| August 1, 2019 2:04 AM

Long anticipated improvements are about to begin on the St. Joe River Road from mile 7.1 through mile 34.3.

A cooperative effort that includes Benewah County, Shoshone County, HMH Engineering, Interstate Concrete and LHTAC has made this project possible.

Various sections will have different treatments according to the condition of the road. Remedy treatments will include removing and replacing sections of the roadway, mill and overlay, reconstruction, guardrail upgrades, shoulder shaping, culvert replacement, snow poles, rumble strips and pavement markings.

Flaggers and traffic control will be present throughout the project to insure everyone’s safety.

The cooperators appreciate the patience and understanding of the residents and visitors as road improvements are made.

Road construction work will begin August 12 and the estimated completion date is October 25, 2019. The contractors will typically work Monday thru Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 7 p.m. with occasional weekend work as needed.

Any questions or concerns about the project can be directed to HMH Engineering by calling st (208) 762-2389.
