A much needed bond levy
As a retired educator for our District, I appreciate the work done by the Facilities Planning Committee last year. I appreciate the standards which the District now holds for the needed improvements to all of our remaining buildings. Our children deserve the best environment at all levels of their education.
Over the years, Tim Etherton, maintenance supervisor, has done a superb job of making needed improvements at all levels, but we can’t let time , usage and inflation get ahead of the maintenance. Our schools’ heating and plumbing systems need replacing, and there are some structural and safety issues with some buildings.
One of the freedoms of our democracy is the right to pass bond levies to serve our needs.
On August 27th, the district is re-running its bond election, which needed just 34 votes to pass in May. Let’s get out and vote on August 27th, and please, thirty-four of you who forgot to vote, get out and amend your mistake.
