Amber Alert issued for Tyran Campen

Child has been found and is safe according to law enforcement.

SUPERIOR – An Amber Alert has been issued for all of Idaho regarding a 7-year old boy that has been kidnapped by his non-custodial mother.

The child, Tyran Ban Campen, is a white male last seen in Deborgia, Montana (Mineral County) on Aug. 21 and is believed to be in danger.

Lanetta Kay Mellstead, 43, allegedly incapacitated the custodial father and took Campen. Mellstead abuses drugs and is considered a direct threat to the life of the child.

She is described as a white female with brown hair and green eyes that stands 5’5” and weighs 140 pounds. Alias names include Van Campen, Karisa and Ross.

The vehicle she is in is a black 1996 Ford Explorer with a Montana license plate of 540676B. Her cell phone was last pinged in the Western Montana or Idaho area possibly traveling westbound.

As of Aug. 22 at 7:41 a.m., officials believes the suspect is headed to the Nampa, Idaho area.
