Aldene Ann Bourgard, a resident of Colville, Wash., passed away July 31, 2019, in Spokane, Wash., at the age of 85. Aldene was born on Nov. 1, 1933, in Lemmon, S.D., one of 13 children to John and Maria (Fitzgerald) Weightman.

As a child and into adulthood, Aldene resided in the communities of Lemmon, Butte, Mont., and Kellogg, Idaho. She raised her family while working as a restaurant server and cleaner. He preceded her in death in 2007.

Some of her simple pleasures were visiting friends, playing cribbage and traveling to visit family. Aldene was a very creative Sunday school teacher and made learning fun for children. She and Leonard enjoyed sharing much of their pastime dancing. Aldene was a strong little lady with great determination and the will to stand in defense of her beliefs and those she loved. She thrived well by making due with what she had at hand.

She is survived by her children, Lynn Lind of Colville, Wash., Mike Bourgard (Elizabeth) of Post Falls, Idaho, Steve Bougard of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Patricia Hansen of Lewiston, Idaho, Charles Zisk of Wardner, Idaho, and Deborah Watts of Butte; grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.
