PAGE – Two men were taken into custody on Christmas Eve after allegedly breaking into a residence in Page.

The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office reports that on the night of Dec. 24, dispatch received a 911 call reporting a possible burglary in progress inside a residence at 901 Lower Page Road.

Units from the SCSO and Kellogg Police Department arrived on scene shortly after the call and found three male suspects in the home.

Law enforcement was able to detain two of the three individuals, while the third fled the scene on foot.

“Once safely able to do so,” SCSO Cpt. Jeremy Groves said, “a search was conducted by units in an attempt to locate the third subject with no luck.”

While the third suspect did escape, it is believed that law enforcement is aware of his identity, partly due to his truck possibly being left at the scene of the crime.

The two detained suspects, identified as Joshua L. Bowman, 25, of Osburn, and Seth A. Redden, 33, transient, were placed under arrest for burglary. Redden also had an outstanding felony arrest warrant for his arrest.

The residence broken into is believed to be in foreclosure and was not occupied by anyone at the time of the crime.
