KPD Roll Call: Feb. 19-26

•Citizen contact at the PD with questions about a vehicle burg.

•Put a dog in the pound.

•Citizen contact in the Yokes parking lot for a female taking apart the ash trays (cig butt farming gone to far).

•Welfare check/suicidal subject. Contacted the male, he was code 4 just wanted some alone time. He has since contacted his family.

•Citizen contact at the PD regarding parking questions.

•The rumor has it that KPD has hired a new guy. Maybe a fireman even. See we all knew they secretly want to be cops. Welcome aboard, probie.

•Lots of patrol of Kellogg & Wardner.

•Business alarm on the 700 block of W. Cameron Ave. Checked the area and building was secured.

•Assisted with a civil standby on the 400 block of W. Brown St.

•Assisted County with a domestic up Burke. Snow much up there?

•Citizen contact at the trail motel. Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Called back to the Trail motel for another Citizen Contact. Clear, public assist.

•Called to the 411 bunker apartments for a petit theft. Cleared, public assist.

•While at the 411 bunker apartments another resident had questions regarding a different matter. Public assist.

•Follow up, negative contact.

•Mobile patrol of Kellogg & Wardner.

•Handle a landline request regarding a civil issue.

•Responded to a slid off on the 200 block of E. Cameron Ave. Helped the individual get unstuck and issued an infraction citation (If you don’t have a Drivers License, don’t drive. If you do drive, don’t get stuck. And if you do get stuck, don’t get help to get unstuck from the police. Cuz you might get a ticket).

•Dispatched to the 600 block of 2nd St. for a verbal argument. Peace was later restored.

•Assisted K71 with a 911 hang-up on the 200 block of E. Idaho. We were unable to locate the source because we were going off GPS coordinates.

•Called to a juvenile disturbance in the 400 block of west brown. Cleared NAT.

•Called to silver Mountain for a missing child, child was located and contact with parents was made. Cleared public assist.

•Citizen contact at the Amy Lynn’s reference a trespass order. Cleared NAT.

•Assisted County with a DUI in Smelterville.

•Responded to a break-in of a residence on the 400 block of W. Brown. Report was taken.

•Traffic stop McKinley/Main. Verbal warning for stop sign, vision obstruction.

•Slide off I90 at 50 on the on-ramp. Vehicle was able to be pulled out without tow. Traffic control, public assist.

•Found property 10 block of W. Mullan. Among the property was a smoking device containing burnt illegal substance, smoking device was destroyed and property entered into safekeeping. Report taken and completed.

•Welfare check 300 block of W. Cameron. Subject was located and investigation started, report taken.

•Assisted K77 with possible CPO violation. Cleared agency assist.

•Courtesy transport from SMC to resident’s house on 2nd. Cleared public assist.

•Assisted Medical with possible alcohol poisoning 300 block McKinley Ave.

•Citizen contact S. Division & Slaughterhouse Gulch (Wardner) vehicle parked on roadway. They were okay, just waiting for people to come down from the mountain. Advised of parking regulations and told them it was okay to wait for the time being, if they see a plow it’s time to move.

•Assisted K74 with follow-up interview.

•Conducted a traffic stop on the 700 block of McKinley Ave. Educated the individual on the difference between a 2-way intersection and a 3-way intersection. I also educated them on what signs to look for to help them identify what type of intersection it is.

•Dispatched to Silver Mtn. for a parent who lost their child. After a searching, we were able to find the child in the facility.

•Assisted medical personnel on the 300 block of McKinley Ave.

•A Sheriff’s Office in Montana reported a vehicle pursuit in their jurisdiction from a vehicle registered to an individual in the Kellogg area. Montana informed me they were unable to apprehend the suspects, but did identify them. Made contact with the registered owner on the 100 block of W. Mullan Ave. Shortly after speaking with the individual, K77 discovered one of their license plates had been stolen and slapped onto the vehicle that was running from the police in Montana. Report was taken for theft.

•Citizen contact on the 300 block of McKinley Ave. The individual thought the streets were a good place to pee. K77 gave a verbal warning and educated them on where that type of business should be conducted.

•Assisted County with 29 service. Cleared other agency assist.

•Called to Amy Lynn’s for noise complaint. Clear public assist.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.... cold and windy.

•Called to 100 block W Cameron for hold up alarm. Building was secured and all doors locked.

•Called to motorist assist across from Post Office. Female driver didn’t want a ride, as she did not want to leave her car. Cleared NAT.

•Patrolled the cold and windy streets of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Motorist assist 2000 block McKinley Ave. Driver was stopping to let his dog run around. Cleared citizen contact.
