Kudos to Crabtree
A big round of applause for Sen. Carl Crabtree and his decision to put the power in the hands of the people. Recently, Sen. Crabtree joined 24 of his Senate colleagues in passing SJR101, the proposed constitutional amendment also known as Marsy’s Law for Idaho.
Why does this vote matter? It’s simple democracy in action. By voting yes, Sen. Crabtree gave Idaho voters the ability to determine the proper course of action when it comes to giving crime victims more protection, a stronger voice and the ability to assert those rights. I for one am glad the Senator is letting the voters sort through the pros and cons of Marsy’s Law for Idaho.
For those against stronger victims’ rights, you’re one step closer to being able to have a real impact in the outcome. For now, maybe a tip of the hat is in order for Sen. Crabtree.
