LaVon Bonnie Dorothy Grebil, 89
LaVon “Bonnie” Dorothy Grebil, 89, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away January 3, 2019 at her home of Osburn. She was born June 1, 1929 in Arlington, Minnesota; Bonnie was the daughter of Harvey and Mabel (Jay) Beehner.
Bonnie attended grade school in Lead, South Dakota. She moved to the Silver Valley in 1942. Bonnie attended eighth grade through high school in Wallace.
Bonnie married Don Grebil in 1946 in Superior, Montana; they later divorced.
As a young girl, Bonnie had worked as a newspaper carrier and at the Grand Theatre of Wallace; she had also worked as a carhop at the A&W of Wallace. Bonnie then worked for the family business Grebil, Inc., Bitco of Osburn and the Wallace Liquor store. In later years, she served as a bartender for the 1313 and the Brooks; she retired at the age of 74.
Bonnie loved and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, working crossword puzzles, reading and was an avid bingo player. In younger years, she enjoyed golfing but loved watching golf on TV.
Bonnie is survived by three sons Dave (Debbie) Grebil of Hillsboro, Oregon, Mike (Jaylene) Grebil of Big Creek- Kellogg, Idaho, and Steve (Theresa) Grebil of Boise, Idaho; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; one sister Marge Parks of Spokane, Washington; two brothers Darrell Beehner of Murray, Idaho and Darwin Beehner of Moses Lake, Washington; she is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Don Beehner.
A Celebration of Bonnie’s Life will be held and announced at a later date.
