Joint chamber banquet set for Friday

PINEHURST — Come one, come all to the Silver Valley and Wallace Chamber of Commerce’s 46th Annual Joint Installation Banquet.

The event has become one of the main attractions of the year for both of the local chambers, and this year looks to be on par with all of them.

Throughout the evening, both chambers will recognize their outgoing leadership, welcome their incoming leadership and present several awards to members of the community who have worked hard to make the last year memorable.

Each year the event moves from one end of the Silver Valley to the other, and this year it is the Silver Valley Chamber of Commerce’s turn to host.

“The Silver Valley Chamber is excited for our joint banquet with Wallace Chamber. It is going to be a lively event with live music from Krista Hojem,” Silver Valley Chamber Director Mallory Phillips said. “It is also a great opportunity to honor the amazing businesses and community members that we have all throughout the Silver Valley.”

Phillips isn’t the only chamber director excited for the event. Wallace Chamber Coordinator Dave Copelan is very excited to see the two chambers interact and loves the atmosphere that the event brings.

“These annual banquets allow business leaders to relax and interact in a no-pressure, social atmosphere,” Copelan said. “It also is a time to reflect on the year behind us and look forward to the challenges and rewards of the upcoming season. It’s also a lot of fun.”

As mentioned, there will be live music provided by popular local artist Krista Hojem, and dinner will be catered by Flavor Fusion.

The 46th Annual Joint Chamber Installation Banquet is Friday at 6 p.m. at the Shoshone Medical Center Community Outreach Center in Pinehurst.

Last week, the Shoshone News-Press published a story about the Silver Valley Chamber’s incoming board directors, but one name was unfortunately left off that story (We’re very sorry Cyndy).

Cyndy Rose has been a resident of the Silver Valley for 14 years.

She earned her A.A.S. Accounting Assistant from North Idaho College in 2012, and is currently working as a personal banker at Wells Fargo, where she has worked the last six years.

Rose is the business advocate and the Wells@Work advocate for the Silver Valley as well.

In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, especially her 14-year-old daughter Erykah.
