Bad hombres on the border

Donald J. Trump practically invented hating people from other countries. Of course if they can work for one of his enterprises, that’s all right. Or if his father- and mother-in-law want to become citizens — that’s fine too. But all other immigrants are rapists, thieves and criminals from shithole countries, right.

Trump believes that because he can, it is all right for him to ruin lives every day. On Dec. 11, Trump threw one of his fits in the oval office. He screamed to the world that he would gladly shut down the government to get $5 billion for his wall on the southern border. Some of his supporters have even started an online fundraiser to “help him” achieve his goal. Now that he has left 800,000 government workers without a pay check, he says the problem is those terrible Democrats dragging their feet about funding for his wall. The majority of the American people don’t want a wall, they want immigration reform to address these issues.

All through the Trump presidency, his inability to admit that he is wrong has caused one controversy after another. He has shown no resistance to Russia, North Korea or Saudi Arabia, but none of the GOP want to call him out on anything. Putin giving a high five to the Saudi prince was the biggest slap in the face that the United States has ever received. But Trump couldn’t find the courage to call them out on the world stage.

Trump has no empathy or respect for anyone, not even the office he holds. In his mind, he is smarter than anyone in the world, and will not take advice from anyone. He always has to be right. Mr. Trump has no civility, or even common decency.

For the life of me, I can’t believe that the American people will stand by and let their country be ruined by lying crooks like Trump and his family. I understand that the GOP has invested so much in Trump that they can’t let him fail — if he goes down, so will they — but I hope that Americans stand up to Trump and teach him that he isn’t always right. Maybe the last election will be the start of America taking back her Democracy.
