KPD Roll Call: Jan. 22-29

•Patrolled the sunny streets of Kellogg and the not so sunny streets of Wardner. Not much sun this time of year in the Wardner Canyon.

•Evidence work. Evidence packaged up and ready to sent to lab.

•Finished reports.

•Follow up on reports.

•Report of CPO violation. Cleared- report taken.

•Road rage incident turned into petit theft. Cleared- report taken.

•Citizen contact at the PD regarding a prescription theft.

•Worked on a threats call. Negative contact.

•Citizen contact 400 block Mullan regarding threats.

•100 block Mission on follow up regarding current case.

•Landline regarding firearms, ended up being related to a current case.

•Traffic stop on I-90 49 off ramp westbound. Verbal given.

•Contacted by health and welfare regarding a battery on a minor.

•Assisted 1215 with call in Smelterville. Cleared- other agency assist.

•Called to assist 661 with stolen vehicle out of Washington, occupied X2. Transported the female to the PSB. Cleared- other agency assist.

•Continued follow up and report writing for my vehicle burglaries case.

•Assist fire on a house fire, ended up being a chimney fire. Cleared.

•Follow up.

•Reports.

•Called to SMC for them having questions about a patient.

•Called to the Middle School for a juvenile issue. Cleared report taken.

•Report of someone selling items that did not belong to them. When questioned about the items, of course they denied having said items. But by some amazing coincidence, the items appeared in a trash can right next door shortly after speaking with them. Hmmmm weird. Items were recovered and returned to owner. Charges forthcoming.

•Dispatched to the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. for a battery. Discovered no battery had taken place and ended up being just an argument. Parties were separated and peace was restored.

•Handled a landline request regarding a civil custody battle.

•Assisted county with warrant service. Female party ran out the back door and into the woods, officers were unable to locate.

•Citizen contact X4 about an incident at the trail from previous shift, they want contact from K77.

•Foot patrols Bunker, Railroad, McKinley.

•Domestic 400 block of McKinley. One half left prior to arrival. Per remaining party, nothing physical, only verbal with possible DUI that left. Attempted to locate other half without success. Report taken for documentation.

•Contacted sleeping driver in the parking lot of McDonald’s. Asked them to move to the gas station as parking lot is posted. Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Attempted to locate runaway juvenile from prior shift, Unable To Locate (UTL). K75 received information later on and assisted county in apprehending the runaway.

•Dispatched to a welfare check on a dog located on the 100 block of E. Portland Ave. Report was the dog had two broken legs. Discovered the dog was fine- just really.........really..........really............old.

•Dispatched to the 600 block Bunker for a theft. Found out it was a repossession on a vehicle. Cleared civil.

•Malicious injury to property W. Mill. Vehicle window broken out, vague description of subject(s). Searched area and spoke with some neighbors, UTL suspect.

•Welfare check 700 block of S. Division. Subject was not there, made contact later with subject and this was an agency assist for possible CPOR/NCO violation in Kootenai County. There was supposed to be child custody swap that did not take place. Advised subject to keep in contact with Kootenai County.

•Animal complaint E. Market. Dog at large, unable to locate animal.

•Foot patrols, S. Division, Silver, Gold, Main, 2nd, 3rd.

•Foot patrols Silver Mountain.

•Disturbance at Silver Mountain, kids throwing snowballs and striking a residential unit. Spoke with youth group advisers and they were in the process of rounding up the kids.

•Traffic stop in front of Silver Valley Tire. Verbal for speed.

•Motorist assist at Cameron and Hill Street. Cleared- public assist.

•Called to Morning Star Lodge for report of a hit and run. RO’s already exchanged info upon my arrival. Cleared NAT.

•911 hang-up 10 block W Mission. Subject called and reported he was code 4. K74 made contact and confirmed household was code 4.

•Called to Silver Rapids water park for disturbance in progress. Parties separated upon my arrival. Spoke with parties, verbal only- peace restored.

•Evidence & Reports.

•Parking ticket issued 100 block of Kellogg Ave. 18 inches away from curb (only missed by 3 feet).

•Information relayed of a repossessed vehicle in the 100 block of E. Portland. Company already has possession of the vehicle.

•Citizen contact in the parking lot of Stein’s. Employees waiting to go to work. Stopped in to let them know a window was down on one of their vehicles. They were already aware as the window is broken.

•Called to Trail Motel for civil standby.

•Called to Yokes for hit and run. Suspect was found and cited for leaving scene and no insurance.

•Called back to trail motel... X2 for harassment.

•Assisted K74 with unwanted subject in 100 block W Mullan Ave. Cleared other agency assist.

•Harassment at Trail Motel. No crime involved and differing opinions going over social media.

•Lost/Stolen property. Contact at Hill Street Conoco. Last seen Friday at a business on McKinley. Already checked that business and security shows owner leaving with the property. Advised to contact City Hall tomorrow to see if someone turned it in to the front office.

•Unwanted subject 100 block of W. Mullan. Subject trying to gain entrance to the residence. Believe the subject we made contact with was going home and found out it was the wrong home. He was at his home upon contact and had some choice words for officers. He was told to quiet down or go to jail. Alcohol may have been a factor.

•Citizen contact 200 block of E. Idaho. Subject looking for his dog. K74 saw the dog earlier, but it looked as though it was chained up....it was- I just didn’t know it took the chain with when leaving the yard.

•Citizen contact on N. Division. Courtesy transport to residence on E. Portland.

•Business alarm on Railroad Ave. Building checked and nothing out of place.

•Dog at large 400 block of S. Division. It was the dog K74 saw earlier, but this time it wrapped itself around a rabbit pen. Took the dog home and gave a verbal warning (with a 10 foot lead it’s pretty safe to say they did not let the dog roam freely).

•Citizen contact on Station Ave. at Chamber of Commerce. Initially looked like subject was trying to avoid law enforcement, but subject was going home trying to avoid the cold is all.

•Follow up on road rage incident.

•Looks like the third car burglar from last week just made the news in Kootenai.

•Called to Dave Smith for vehicle inspection. Cleared public assist.

•Called to Legion Ave. for malicious injury to property. Cleared agency assist.

•Finished reports.

•Called down to Trail Motel for civil standby.

•LL request regarding harassment. Cleared- public assist.

•Assist county 3000 block of McKinley on traffic stop. Vehicle search turned up narcotics. Cleared- other agency assist

•Extra patrols/emphasis patrols conducted.

•Called to the Trail Motel (yes, again). More civil issues.
