Victoria “Vicky” Elizabeth Walden, 89

Victoria “Vicky” Elizabeth Walden, 89, of Silverton, Idaho passed away July 1, 2019 at the Good Samaritan Society Silver Wood Village of Silverton. She was born March 25, 1930 in Black Bear, Idaho; Vicky was the daughter of Victor and Mabel (Wellman) Zamattia.

Vicky attended and graduated from the Wallace High School in 1948. She has lived in the Silver Valley all of her life.

Vicky married John “Jack” E. Walden on April 18, 1949 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace; Jack passed away on February 12, 2012; they had been married for sixty-two years.

Vicky had worked as a medical secretary for Dr. Robert J. Revelli in Wallace from 1956-1966. She then went to work for ASARCO Inc. in the Wallace office from 1966-1992. At the time of her retirement, Vicky had served as an administrative assistant to the general manager of the Northwestern Mining Department.

Vicky was a member of St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace and a member of the Church Altar Society.

Vicky loved and enjoyed knitting, computer work, reading, gardening, loved her animals and was an avid Gonzaga fan.

Vicky is survived by one nephew Richard Clough of Deer Park, Washington; a sister-in-law Helen Davis of Orangevale, California; special life-long friends Neil and Diana Gallagher of Silverton, Idaho and the Skantel family; a good friend Jill Jackson of Osburn, Idaho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Jack and one son Robert Victor Walden who passed away October 14, 1955.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, July 8, 2019 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church of Wallace with Father Jerome Montez serving as Celebrant. A reception and a gathering of family and friends will be held in the Church Fellowship Hall following services.

It is suggested that memorials may be made to the Silver Valley Seniors, Meals On Wheels, P.O. Box 887, Osburn, Idaho 83849.
