Joanne Wallace, 67

Olwen Joanne Wallace, age 67, of Osburn, Idaho, left this earth for a better place June 29, 2019. She passed peacefully in the Circle of Life facility at Kootenai Medical Center. Joanne was born May 3, 1952 in Wallace, Idaho, to Francis N. Flood and Jeannette (Davies) Flood.

Joanne was raised in Mullan, Idaho and attended Mullan schools, graduating from Mullan High School.

Joanne and Joseph Wallace were united in marriage August 19, 1977, and spent the next nearly 42 years together in their home in Osburn, Idaho.

Joanne worked with her mother at the Stardust Motel and later at the Molly B motel in Wallace. Then she worked in retail sales at Rullman’s Mens Wear and Cams in Wallace as well as other stores in Wallace, Idaho. Her last career endeavor was as a clerk and cashier at WalMart in Smelterville, Idaho.

She was an avid bowler on leagues in Mullan and Wallace, competing in womens leagues with her sisters and other close friends and her husband Joseph in mixed leagues. Joanne enjoyed cribbage with friends and Bingo.

Joanne is survived by her husband Joe at the family home in Osburn, three sons, Sean and wife Sandra of Santa Fe Springs, California; Kurt, wife Robin and grandchildren Brandon, Sydney, Jordan and McKenzie of Corona, California; and Ryan, wife April and grandchildren Nicole and Colton of Osburn, Idaho.

Joanne was the 10th of 14 children and is survived by Betty Gohl of Meeker, Colorado, Shirley Heidt of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Jim (Myrna) Flood of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Charles (Katie) Flood of Post Falls, Idaho, Harold (Joyce) Flood of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, Dorothy Houchin of Wallace, Idaho, Karen (Harold) Durfee of Mullan, Idaho, Sandra (Dale) Stepro of Mullan, Idaho, Janice Sala of Mullan, Idaho, and Kimberley Sevy of Boise, Idaho. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Joanne was preceded in death by her parents Francis and Jeannette Flood and three brothers Robert Flood, David Flood and Michael Flood.

At her request no formal services are planed, cremation was held and a family and friends celebration of life will be held at a later date.
