Jack William Pierce Jr, 62

| July 10, 2019 10:37 AM

Jack William Pierce Jr, 62 of Tulsa Oklahoma passed away Monday July 8, 2019 at home with his family by his side. Diagnosed with Parkinson’s and Lewy Body Dementia, that journey began. He was born April 4, 1957 in Kellogg Idaho to Jack W. Sr and Dorothy J. (Mayes) Pierce. He attended Topeka High School in Topeka Kansas.

Making his way back to Kellogg Idaho, he worked at Bunker Hill as his dad, uncles and cousins had. He liked to hunt and spent time roaming in the mountains; or you could find him working on cars. He built them to last and be fast. Fast was always good. In Oklahoma he worked for Louis Beard’s Auto Salvage, Tulsa County and B.K.W. Inc for over 20 years. He loved to cook. The grill or smoker was usually fired up with a game of dominoes playing in the garage.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Jack. He is survived by his mom, Dorothy Pierce of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his sisters Bonnie Tyler of Tulsa Oklahoma and Tammy Vaughan of Fountain Florida; his brother John Pierce (Loretta Miller) of Claremore Oklahoma; nieces: Christine (Ed) Hurd of Andover Kansas and Somer Dawn McCallum of Claremore Oklahoma; his nephews: Jon Dykes (Christina) of Tulsa Oklahoma, Corey (Misty Brown) Dull of Panama City Florida, Willard Mauldin and Christopher Mauldin of Fountain Florida; 5 great nieces and 9 great nephews. He is also survived by his aunts: Bobbie Holmes of Kingston Idaho and Nancy Pierce of Appleton City Wisconsin; his Silver Valley cousins: Toni Helm, Rick Southard and Scherry Colhoff; numerous cousins in Missouri and California.

Special thanks to all that made Jack’s journey a little bit smoother: St John Medical Center, Coweta Manor Nursing Home and Transitions Life Care.

Jack’s final resting place will be in Kellogg Idaho.

Serenity Funerals and Crematory. Tulsa, Oklahoma.
