Check out SNP NOW!
OSBURN — We at the Shoshone News-Press strive every day to bring you local news and stories through whichever medium you prefer.
Since 1985, we have provided the tried and tested print edition to those who enjoy the familiar feeling of a physical product. In 2017, we introduced our new website and drastically increased our social media presence for those who enjoy the convenience of a digital product.
Now, to accommodate those who prefer to get their news in audio form, SNP has recently rolled out our new podcast — SNP NOW.
SNP NOW is a weekly audio program where Managing Editor Chanse Watson and Staff Reporter Josh McDonald go over the latest headlines in the Silver Valley and the surrounding region (with some witty banter and laughs mixed in).
Every episode also features an exclusive interview with a new guest every week and a sneak peak of what the newsroom is currently working on for future editions.
It’s like getting your news from the radio, but with SNP NOW, you decide when and how you want to hear it.
Want to break up the latest episode throughout your work day on your computer? No problem.
How about when you have to drive to Coeur d’Alene and you lose service going over the pass? Just play a downloaded episode of SNP NOW on your phone to make your commute a little less silent.
In as much time as it takes to drive from Lookout to Fourth of July Pass, SNP NOW offers listeners the ability to catch up on what is happening in your community.
The free product is now available on multiple platforms and devices.
Episodes can be downloaded or played directly from http://snpnow.buzzsprout.com/. This website can be found via a direct web search or by visiting www.shoshonenewspress.com and clicking on the “SNP NOW” tab at the top of screen.
For those who already listen to podcasts (or are looking for a convenient way to download it), SNP NOW can be found on Apple Podcasts, Spotify, Google Podcasts and several other podcatchers. If using these platforms to listen, be sure to subscribe to SNP NOW so that every episode downloads to your device as soon as it is live!
For those active on social media, a notification post will be made on our Facebook and Instagram accounts every time a new episode is available.
We are very excited to offer our community this new product to help better inform you and have a little fun along the way as well.
