Floyd Edward Doyle, 56

Beloved son, brother, father, uncle and friend, Floyd Edward Doyle, 56, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, passed away at Kootenai Health, of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, on July 22, 2019. Floyd was born on November 11, 1962 in Silver Spring, Maryland; the son of John and Carolyn (Scott) Doyle.

Floyd moved to Coeur d’ Alene in 2015, previously he lived in Alaska.

Floyd was a master at working with his hands. He spent over 30 years working as an automotive mechanic. He also periodically did auto body painting as well as small engine repair.

Floyd had an artistic eye and often drew pictures of landscapes of North Idaho as well as Alaska. He also enjoyed camping, riding his bike and being out in nature. Floyd was known for being strong-willed and tenacious. He was charismatic with a wonderful smile. Floyd was a sweet, kind man who “never met a stranger”.

Floyd is survived by his sons, Edward and Austin; his father, John Doyle of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; his brother, Neil Doyle of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho; three sisters, Diana (Gary) Nial of Clarkston, Washington, Nola Nelson of Anchorage, Alaska, and twin sister, Fran Doyle of Post Falls, Idaho; as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Floyd was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Scott Doyle; and his brother, John Joseph Doyle.

A private Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
