Shoshone Medical Center Foundation gets new leadership
KELLOGG — The Shoshone Medical Center Foundation has some leadership at the helm and will be moving into the future under the guidance of a new president and executive director.
Tami Atkins and Ashlee Myles will be filling the roles of president and executive director respectively and are looking forward to their new adventures.
“I am excited to see what kind of new ideas I can bring to the table,” Myles said.
Myles is filling the spot that has been long held by Sarah Murphy, who had been with the foundation for several years.
Rhonda Seagraves stepped down as the SMC Foundation president in April and that opened the door for Atkins to step in to fill the position.
Atkins is very excited for the opportunity to lead the foundation as it has been an organization that is very near and dear to her over the years.
“I am a big fan of the SMC Foundation and what it does for the community,” Atkins said. “I am honored to have the opportunity to help lead the foundation in helping the community wellness grow.”
The SMC Foundation is the philanthropic side of Shoshone Medical Center and is a nonprofit, 501(c)3 organization committed to obtaining funding to help meet the health care needs of the Silver Valley by providing equipment, services and education to Shoshone Medical Center and the community it serves.
The Foundation Board meets the third Wednesday of every month (excluding July and December) at 12:15 p.m. in classroom 1 at SMC. These are open meetings and guests are always welcome to attend.
