KELLOGG — The Lake City Gymnastics of Kellogg team recently competed at various regional meets where they enjoyed a respectable level of success.

At the Great West GymFest, the team was lead by their gold level gymnasts Kaitlyn Sansi and

Rose Erlendson who paced the team by finishing 4th and 8th respectively.

Sis Bauer and Kora Foust finished 3rd and 4th respectively in the bronze level.

The bronze team finished 6th, while the silver team took 5th.

A week later at the Mismo Magical Meet in Missoula, Bauer once again led the bronze team with a 4th place finish, while Ava Herold took 4th for her silver squad.

This time it was the bronze team finishing 5th, while silver placed 7th.

Lake City Gymnastics coach Donny Gardiner was pleased with how his teams competed, but was exceptionally proud of his gold level girls who are forced to compete solely as individuals (due to low numbers at the gold level).

“This was a tough, large invitational,” Gardiner said. “There were many teams from the United States and Canada. We had only 2 falls on beam out of 16 gymnasts. Both of our highest level, gold, did very well on the on the even bars and Kaitlyn Sansi added a new skill of 360 Sole Circle and executed perfectly.”
