KPD Roll Call: March 12-19

•Probie washed his patrol vehicle. Thinking he has had big red truck washing duties once or twice.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Assist ISP with traffic stop. Cleared other agency assist.

•K71 handled a two-vehicle accident at McKinley & Hill.

•New guy did his pre-academy physical agility test.

•Patrolled the streets of Kellogg.

•Paper service, one paper served and one negative contact.

•Report of a wandering puppy at Hill & Mission. Cleared Unable To Locate (UTL).

•On probie’s first day of driving his patrol vehicle, he found the only two “Do No Enter” signs in town and tried to drive K73 down both.

•Attempted to serve civil papers in Pinehurst and Elk Creek.

•Dispatched to a dog at large at the intersection of W. Mission Ave. and Hill St. Searched the area but was unable to locate.

•Called to the Hill St. Conoco for a suspicious person. After arriving K77 discovered there was nothing suspicious about said individual.

•Responded to the 400 block of W. Brown Ave. for a runaway juvenile. Guardians and K77 were able to locate the juvenile and bring them back home.

•Traffic stop on Bunker Ave. for head light out. Cleared verbal.

•Called to SMC regarding a patient from a medical call for a possible broken leg, report was taken.

•Tagged vehicles for tow at the parking lot between Flume & McKinley.

•Welfare check on Flume for a reported person that had been acting differently and had not shown up to work. Negative contact at the residence. Reporting party made contact with the individual. Cleared without incident.

•Patrolled the streets of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Assisted K74 at the 700 block of McKinley Ave. for a welfare check. Person was okay.

•Evidence to Coeur d’Alene/Post Falls.

•Welfare check 700 block of McKinley. Medical issue and subject was okay.

•Civil Paper Served x 2.

•Traffic stop 700 block McKinley. Verbal for speed.

•Traffic stop 800 block McKinley. Verbal for speed.

•Landline request regarding civil issues. Spoke with person on the phone and confirmed it to be a civil issue for the time being.

•Traffic stop Bunker at I90. Verbal for speed, invalid license (infraction). Prior suspension had to do with insurance and they had current insurance. Had licensed driver come get the vehicle and explained about re in-statement.

•Landline at KPD regarding other investigations. Information taken and will be given to investigating officer.

•Released a dog to its owner from the pound.

•Received security camera footage for an ongoing case regarding vehicle burglaries in the area of the mineral subdivision.

•School patrol.

•Took a report for an attempted unlawful entry at the 300 Block of Wildcat Way. Extra patrol has been requested in the area.

•Paperwork to courthouse.

•Follow-up on active investigation(s).

•Follow-up on other officer(s) active investigations and Evidence work.

•Citizen contact in front of KPD regarding child custody. Civil.

•Traffic stop 900 block of S. Division (Wardner). Verbal for speed.

•Assisted 1224 in tire theft at Bisarros.

•Traffic stop for running a stop sign at Bunker and Cameron. Verbal.

•Bar checks/ 29 service for a wanted individual at both Ernie’s and Eddie’s. Both negative contact.

•Attempt To Locate (ATL) for juvenile runaway out of Montana, after phone was pinged, it was over in Cda. Cleared UTL.

•Moved property to be inventoried/documented for return to owner. Owner is currently in custody.

•Theft 200 block of E. Idaho. Report taken.

•Online testing for B.A.C.

•Assisted K76 with citizen contact and consent search at Amy Lynn’s.

•Assisted County with suspicious person in Mullan. Ended up turning into DUI drugs and possession of a firearm while under the influence.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•Continue a bit of evidence work.

•Located dog in the roadway 600 block of McKinley. Returned it to owner/dog-sitter.

•Landline request. Contact was made regarding ongoing investigations.

•Attempted to locate a possible intoxicated driver on Bunker Ave. Searched the area but was unable to locate said individual.

•Conducted foot patrol on the 800 block of Bunker Ave.

•Searched through body cam footage for county.

•Assisted county with suspicious circumstances at Wal-Mart.

•Assist K77 secure a building on Bunker Ave.

•Middle School patrol.

•Took a report of a burglary at the 300 block of Wildcat Way. The investigation is ongoing.

•Called to 200 block E Market for possible unlawful entry. Cleared unfounded.

•Extra patrols

•School foot patrol.

•Follow-up on a fraud case.

•Received a call to the PD for a person reporting the neighbor’s dog handling their business on the reporting party’s property. As the snow melted, the land mines appeared, as this was not one or two land mines- but a whole winter worth. Yuk. The owner was contacted and notified to clean it up and not to let it happen again.

•Pre-academy coursework for probie.

•Responded to the 100 block of E. Portland Ave. for information on a possible stolen vehicle. Not stolen but was towed earlier in the day by ISP. After speaking with the reporting party, they did not wish for me to investigate the matter any further. RP thought they could get out of paying for the tow bill by saying it was stolen. When K77 informed them they would still have to pay the bill, they decided to not report it. Yea........nice try........good night..........and thanks for playing.

•Landline request regarding parking a camper on W. Cameron Ave.

•VIN inspection on the 100 block of Vergobbi St.

•Dispatched to a parking complaint at the intersection of Helen St. & W. Mission Ave. Vehicle was tagged for removal and a citation was left on the vehicle for them.

•Assist K77 with abandoned vehicle. Cleared agency assist.

•Traffic stop on E Cameron resulting in DUI arrest.

•Extra patrols.

•Patrolled Kellogg and Wardner.

•K77’s abandoned vehicle was later removed during the night. K75 informed dispatch as well.
