KPD Roll Call: March 19-26

•Middle School foot patrol.

•Pre-academy coursework for probie.

•Received and disposed of abandoned drug paraphernalia at the 10 block of E. Cameron.

•Extra patrol Wildcat Way.

•Took in a dog at the pound from Pinehurst. Dog was released later on to its owner.

•Dispatched to an erratic driver on the 2000 block of McKinley Ave. Searched the area but was unable to locate said vehicle.

•Stationary patrol on the 800 block of Bunker Ave. which lead to a traffic stop. Cleared verbal warning.

•Wrapped up some report work.

•Citizen contact at the PD. Individual was attempting to locate lost property.

•Conducted foot patrol on Wildcat Way.

•Traffic stop in the 400 block of Bunker Ave. for crossing double yellow. Verbal given.

•Traffic stop in the 400 block Bunker Ave. for stop sign, verbal.

•Traffic stop in at the Hill Street Conoco for stop sign, verbal.

•Probie played fireman again while helping rescue people from the smoke at the Shoshone apartments. Once a hose dragger, always a hose dragger I guess. Actually, it’s nice having a EMT/fireman on the force.

•Foot patrols of all of uptown (McKinley, Flume, W. Idaho).

•Assist fire with residential fire 400 block of Bunker.

•Civil stand-by at Trail Motel. Verbal warning given for contact between parties (ongoing issue).

•Follow-up on evidence work.

•Landline request regarding child abuse....turns out there was no child abuse at all, babysitter would not relinquish children to one of the parents. RP disconnected call while asking questions about court documents. Made contact with babysitter that had NO contact with the RP at all. Spoke with other parent that showed text messages indicating other parent would NOT be picking up kids if they could not get both. Cleared unfounded.

•Citizen contact at Kindred for an Osburn call. The guy called 911 while in Osburn, then left and wouldn’t answer when the SO tried calling back. Referred to other agency.

•Dogs at large 100 block of E. Market. Found the dogs and the owner and issued a written warning for dogs at large and gave a copy of the city ordinance.

•Called to the 500 block of North division for a male saying he was having mental issues, he just needed someone to talk to. K76 was more than happy to lend an ear for a while. Cleared, public assist.

•Trail motel dryer fire. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Responded to a report of a person asleep at the wheel of an automobile at the 800 block of W. Cameron Ave. The driver was awake and appeared unimpaired.

•Traffic Stop at the Milepost 50 westbound on-ramp. Cleared verbal.

•Middle School foot patrol.

•Patrolled Kellogg & Wardner.

•Responded to a dog complaint at the 10 block of W. Mullan. The owner was informed and warning was given.

•Checked on a reported vehicle being parked on private property. No vehicle located.

•VIN inspection at the 400 block of W. Riverside.

•Animal complaint 100 block of W. Mission. Checked on animal and spoke with owner, unfounded.

•Traffic stop 10 block of W. Mission. Fail to start/merge safely (verbal warning).

•Updated reports/completed pending reports.

•Landline request regarding abandoned vehicle(s). Taken care of.

•Citizen contact at KPD regarding child custody issue. Issues are taking place in Washington referred subject to Washington Law Enforcement.

•Welfare check 400 block of Bunker Ave. Subject was located and information for family contact was passed along to both parties (reporting party as well).

•Injured Elk on McKinley near Galena Ridge. Fish and game notified, did not appear injured. Young, walking around and not a hazard at the moment.

•Citizen contact at KPD regarding driving complaint from previous evening on 4th of July Pass. Referred to other agency after giving out Central Dispatch and Idaho State Police phone numbers.

•Traffic stop in the pool parking lot for following too close. Verbal given.

•Traffic stop in the 600 block of Bunker Ave. for speed. Verbal.

•Assisted county in a foot pursuit in Smelterville. Cleared other agency assist.

•Assisted county on warrant arrest from traffic stop. Other agency assist.

•Citizen contact at KPD reference identity theft. Taking place in the county, referred to West End Deputy.

•Landline request regarding found property. Contact made with all parties and property was returned. This may turn into a report later. Public assist for now.

•VIN inspection 200 block of E. Portland.

•Noise complaint in the 500 block of West Mission, contact was made. Cleared, public assist.

•Citizen contact in the IGA parking lot reference the noise complaint. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Citizen contact in the Silver Mountain parking lot with suspicious vehicle. Cleared, NAT.

•Foot patrol with K75 in the extra patrol areas.

•Assisted K75 with DUI arrest.

•Extra patrol on Wildcat Way.

•Assist K76 with noise complaint on Mission Ave.

•Attempt To Locate (ATL) vehicle that K76 observed driving 40 in a 25. Followed vehicle to parking lot near lower 3rd resulting in driver getting a DUI.

•Citizen contact at KPD reference looking at abandoned home. Wanted us to be aware they have permission from owner to enter in case someone calls for trespassing.

•Found property 900 block of Bunker Ave. Bicycle found by labor program. Not reported stolen, taken by labor program for distribution.

•Dog at large/aggressive dog 400 block of W. Brown. Dog was returned home (next door as it dug through fence). Verbal warning given.

•Landline request regarding questions about an arrest. Referred to arresting officer.

•Agency assist. Out of control juvenile on the Interstate 51.5. Juvenile ran across all lanes of travel and was caught. Turned over to SCSO after they were able to retrieve their vehicle. Juvenile did not want to give any information at all (name, parent-guardian name, etc) and wanted to fight the people trying to get them out of the roadway. Cleared, agency assist.

•Handled a landline request regarding threats.

•Assisted county with a road hazard on I-90 M.P. 51.5. Road hazard was removed but damaged approximately 4 vehicles that were reported before we could.

•Citizen contact at the Cameron Conoco. Reporting party wanted to inform K77 about an unlawful entry. Reporting party told me they would contact K77 later on so he could investigate the matter. Never received a phone call.

•Assist county with debris in roadway. Four vehicles damaged and stopped at or near Cameron Conoco. Gathered info for deputy. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Finished reports.

•LL request regarding DUI from previous night. Cleared public assist.

•Suspicious circumstances at Wells Fargo. Vehicle with bright lights sitting in front of the bank. Vehicle was gone upon my arrival. Cleared NAT.

•Citizen contact at Bowman Chiropractic. Dr. was just finishing up some office work. Cleared NAT.

•Foot patrol around Bunker Ave. and Wildcat Way.

•Middle School foot patrol.

•Patrolled Kellogg & Wardner.

•Attempted to give written abatement notice at the 400 block of Brown Ave. Negative contact.

•Dispatched to the 300 block of Chestnut for an animal complaint. Reporting party claimed their animal was stolen from them by a prior resident. After looking into the matter, K90 & K77 located the animal and returned it to the owner.

•Observed 3 dogs running at large on Chestnut/W. Cameron Ave. K77 located the dog’s owner and they were able to round them up.

•Responded to a vicious dog on the 400 block of W. Brown St. During his investigation K77 discovered an individual was bit by the dog. Spoke with owner and placed restrictions on the dog. Investigation is still on-going pending its conclusion.

•Traffic stop on the 10 block of E. Cameron Ave. Issued a verbal warning.

•Conducted foot patrol on McKinley Ave, Main St. & W. Idaho Ave.

•Served a blight notice on the 400 block of W. Brown.

•Citizen contact at Main and Mill. Cleared NAT.

•Foot patrol on Main and McKinley Ave.

•ATM alarm at one of the local banks. Let’s say someone goes to the nearby ATM machine to get some cash for, let’s say, a 40 of Steel Reserve. Then the machine tells said person “no Steel Reserve for you today.” Then let’s say this said upset someone then kicked the ATM. Well if you do that, the machine is a little sensitive and the alarm might go off. Just a heads up.

•Out of control 14-year-old on E Idaho Mother wanted child to go to a babysitter and the 14-year-old thought he did not want one. Cleared peace restored.

•School Patrol. The students missed probie (working different shift now with K74).

•Wardner Patrol. Wardner missed probie as well.
