Bomb threat spurs increased police presence around Kellogg schools
EDITORS NOTE: The following is a joint statement from both the Kellogg School District and the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office released on Friday, March 29, 2019.
The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office is currently investigating a threat, which law enforcement officials believe to be a non-credible threat, at Kellogg High School. Although this unknown, written bomb threat appears to be a non-credible threat, we believe it is worthy of all safety precautions. Keeping our students, staff and community safe is of utmost importance to the Kellogg School District and local law enforcement agencies.
Therefore, prior to, and especially on Monday, April 8, our schools in the Kellogg School District will have a greater presence of law enforcement with special precautions in place.
Thank you for your partnership in helping us keep our students and staff safe. School safety will always be a top priority and we are better when the entire community works together to help insure this partnership.
Nancy J. Larsen, KSD Superintendent and Mike Gunderson, Shoshone County Sheriff
