KPD Roll Call: May 7-14

•Mobile patrol of Kellogg & Wardner.

•Foot patrol uptown with K71.

•Dispatched to a possible intoxicated pedestrian on the 800 block of Bunker Ave. Turned out to be a homeless man who had a severe disability that hindered his walking ability (made him look drunk while he walked). Cleared unfounded.

•Responded to a medical call on the 10 block of W. Mission Ave for a possible K incident. Discovered law enforcement was not needed for an investigation.

•Searched for an abandoned vehicle on I-90 M.P. 51. Searched the area but was unable to locate. County located the vehicle shortly afterwards.

•While searching for the abandoned vehicle on I-90 I conducted a motorist assist with an individual changing a flat tire.

•Worked on reports.

•Foot patrol with K71 at Silver Mtn, who was hosting the Miner’s Rescue Competition.

•Attended Wardner City Council Meeting.

•Citizen contact at the top of Sierra Nevada. Verbally warned individual for speeding on Main St, Wardner.

•Assisted K76 with a noise complaint on the 400 block of W. Mission Ave.

•Followed up on a case.

•Called to the 400 block of W Mission for a noise complaint.

•Called back again, RP had canceled the previous time because the subject had turned it down. After speaking with the subject, he said he would turn it down. However, we waited a bit around the corner and we hear him yell “Alexa, Max volume” but Alexa must of thought that was not a good idea because she was not responding to his commands. Subject soon went inside out of frustration, cleared public assist.

•Called to the 500 block of Mission for a noise complaint. Cleared public assist.

•Citizen contact with a suspicious female walking in the road on E Idaho. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Responded to a low boy hauling a track-hoe taking out phone lines. Flagged downed lines and contacted Frontier.

•School patrol.

•Foot patrol uptown Kellogg.

•Foot patrols of Kellogg Middle School. Student assembly and later on parent assembly regarding online trends along with Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC).

•Possible battery that took place at KMS within the last several days. I will be following up on this tomorrow once all the information comes in.

•Traffic complaint 800 block of W. Cameron. Small silver car speeding up and down the road. RP unable to identify driver at this time. Requesting extra patrols in the area as times described are prior to school, during lunch and after school. When the call came in, 1221 was at the bottom of the gulch doing his school patrols and did not see/hear anything.

•1 vehicle crash reported eastbound I90 near 51. Unable to locate from 49-54.

•Landline request regarding trespassing at Amy Lynn’s- no answer. RP was reported to be manager ,tried several times with no answer. Went by manager’s office and it was closed.

•Traffic stop 400 block of Bunker Avenue X2.

1) Verbal for speed.

2) Verbal for blocking the roadway, while there contacted by a resident regarding possible trespass.

•Motorist assist on Cameron Ave in front of Dave Smith. Cleared public assist.

•Assisted county with a theft in progress call. Cleared other agency assist.

•Traffic stop in the in the 400 block of McKinley for no headlights. Verbal.

•Traffic stop on Cameron in front of subway for a headlight out. Verbal.

•Traffic stop in front of Casa De Oro for no headlights. Verbal.

•Mobile patrols of Kellogg and Wardner.

•Follow-up with manager of Amy Lynn’s regarding questions about trespassing.

•Follow-up at Kellogg Middle School regarding possible battery. Report taken, will not be submitting for charges as there does not appear to be an actual crime that took place.

•Reports.

•Assist with locating subject in the Government Gulch area reportedly carrying a sword. From description given, subject was in Kellogg and out in the county. Located subject and discovered he was just walking around. He did not have a sword but was finding metal objects on the ground and picking them up. Advised against walking behind fence lines as this indicates private property and not a walking path. Verbal for possible trespassing.

•Suspicious vehicle/person in McDonald’s parking lot reportedly selling narcotics. Contacted subject just using WiFi from the business. Management did not want them there and they left without issue.

•Now that the world had stopped ending and the internet was back, K74 was able to do reports.

•Report of motor vehicle crash on Alhambra Road. Unknown location other than close to the cemetery. Checked roadway and wooded area spanning about 1.5 miles. Unable to locate any signs of a vehicle crash.

•Dogs at large at Silver Mountain, employees corralled the dogs. As they were being placed in the vehicle, owner showed up. They made a break from a residence with an open gate unknown to the owner. Public assist.

•Landline request regarding dogs taken into the pound. We do not have the dogs in our pound.

•Lots of foot patrols uptown for Radio Brewing block party.

•Traffic stop in the McDonald’s parking lot for expired registration. Verbal given.

•Foot patrol E Idaho and Amy Lynns.

•Citizen contact on upper third with an occupied vehicle that belongs to a person with a 29, however he was not in said vehicle.

•Called to the 700 block S.Division for an animal complaint. Cleared NAT.

•Called to Dirty Dog for a male acting strange, spoke with acting strange dude and he left without any issues.

•Called to the broken wheel for the same acting strange dude and possible malicious injury to property. No crime as it appears that a rock from a passing vehicle might have broken the side window on a vehicle. Strange acting dude did not break window, but was trespassed from the Broken Wheel and transported to Big Creek RV.

•County assist for the same acting strange dude from earlier, now running around the RV park naked from the waste down. Cleared assist.

•Foot patrol E. Idaho, E. Portland, S. Division, Main, Silver Mountain.

•Finished reports that were pending.

•Assist county with DUI stop at McDonald’s. Did not realize they were two to a vehicle, cleared when ISP was coming to assist with portable breath tester.

•Dispatched to the 100 block of Jones St. for a CPO violation. Report was taken.

•Stationary patrol on Main St, Wardner.

•Attempted to locate a couple of dirt bikers on Sierra Nevada Rd. who were speeding on Main St. K77 was unable to locate.

•Assisted K75 on the 700 block of Mill St, Wardner for a prowler. Cleared unfounded.

•Foot patrol with K75 on E. Portland Ave, Maple St. & Idaho Ave.

•Called to 700 block Mill in Wardner for suspicious circumstances. Report of suspect still on scene and sitting in the victim’s car. No suspect was on scene. Cleared unfounded.

•Foot patrol with K75 on E. Portland Ave, 2nd Street, Upper 3rd, Maple St and E. Idaho.

•Dispatched to the 500 block of W. Mission for a noise complaint. Gave a verbal warning.

•Assisted K75 with a suspicious activity on the 600 block of Upper 3rd.

•Citizen contact on Flume St. Reporting party wanted to let me know of an unlawful entry of a vehicle.

•Called to 600 block upper 3rd for unlawful entry. Entry had not been made into residence, individual was waiting on porch to be picked up. Cleared public assist.

•Traffic stop on Hill St. for stop sign violation. Cleared verbal warning.

•Agency assist between MP 50-49. Woman walking on interstate nearly hit by truck. Searched nearby areas, cleared Unable To Locate (UTL).

•Foot patrol of Amy Lynn’s.

•School patrol

•Park patrol

•911 hang up. Cleared all code 4.

•Wardner patrol.

•Land line request up Wardner. Cleared info taken.

•911 hang up on Portland Ave. Could not locate subject who made the call.

•Assisted K71 & K73 with a disturbance on the 10 block of E. Market. While on scene K77 observed an individual there who had a warrant. Individual was arrested and transported to jail.

•Citizen contact on the 100 block of W. Elder.

•Assisted K75 with a verbal domestic on the 700 block of Upper 3rd.

•Verbal domestic 700 block Upper 3rd. Cleared report taken.

•Suspicious circumstances at Cameron Conoco. 911 caller claimed to have people trying to abduct him, this resulted in the caller being under arrest for DUI drugs and possession of controlled substance (meth). Reason #87 not to do drugs. You will get paranoid and call the cops on yourself.

•Citizen contact at KPD regarding theft.

•Dispatched to Kellogg Middle School for a bicycle theft. Located bicycle across town with the help of the School Resource Deputy. Investigation is still on-going.

•Assisted K76 with suspicious activity at the Cameron Conoco.

•Landline request regarding being trespassed.

•Dispatched to a possible intoxicated individual on the on-ramp of I-90 M.P. 51. Checked the area but was unable to locate.

•Foot patrol on Station Ave, E. Idaho Ave. E. Portland Ave. W. Cameron Ave. and Bunker Ave.

•Report of a child form the Middle School that did not go home after leaving school not feeling well. Located said child and she was taken to her parents. Said child did feel well enough to go to school, but felt good enough to hang out with friends.
