Kellogg City Council: Sidney Armstrong
Sidney (Sid) Armstrong is running unopposed for Kellogg City Council Position 6. He has held this position for the past three years. He is 66 years of age and recently retired from his profession as CFO and Director of Business Services with the Post Falls School District, a position he held for the past 25 years. Sid earned his MBA from Gonzaga University and an undergraduate degree in business from Lewis Clark State College. He feels his background in finance and budgeting will be helpful to the city council in developing a budget to accomplish the requirements of the city and at the same time being aware of the taxpayers concerns with property taxes.
If elected, Sid wants to see Kellogg be a community that people want to live in and be a part of. Kellogg has a great start with the sewer, water, and street improvements of the past several years. We need to keep the momentum going as more and more people explore our beautiful area. Kellogg has a lot of retirees and we need to make sure we look out for their interests as well as new families moving in.
Sid is married to Brenda Armstrong and they have lived in Kellogg for the past 45 years. They raised three sons in Kellogg and now spend a lot of time with their eight grandchildren's activities.
