Osburn Mayoral Candidate: Kip McGillivray

| November 1, 2019 2:11 PM

Kip McGillivray is seeking re-election for the position of mayor of the City of Osburn.

McGillivray is being challenged by Charles “Spike” Angle and if re-elected, hopes to continue to have open lines of communication with the public and his constituency.

McGillivray is a Wallace High School graduate and he and his wife Danee have two sons, Issac and Boone.

He has served as mayor of Osburn for the past eight years and was also on the Osburn City Council for two years prior to that.

Not only has McGillivray been the mayor of Osburn, but also has managed and expanded his businesses within the City of Osburn, including the continual growth of McGillivray Environmental, as well as his newest venture MCE Garbage and Recycling.

McGillivray has been integral to the rehabilitation of Osburn’s roads, which is something he is very proud to have been a part of.

McGillivray’s leadership style is one that many people can relate to and is fairly simple in nature and he applies this to how he approaches leading the City.

“I don’t think there is any one issue that outweighs the other,” McGillivray said, “when an issue arises you handle it like all the rest.”
