Smelterville City Council Candidate: Charles Atha

Charles “Chuck” Edward Atha, 72, is looking to be reelected for one of two open Smelterville City Council positions so that he can continue serving the residents of the city to the best of his ability.

Atha is running against challengers Jessica Frank and Rosalie Miller.

His education includes graduating from Kellogg High School and attending one year of Junior College at NIC.

Atha has been married to his wife, Teresa, for 45 years. His family also includes one brother and one sister.

In addition to serving four years in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War, Atha has also served on the Smelterville City Council for the last four years.

If reelected, his primary goals will be to keep Smelterville prosperous by keeping the city “clean and a safe place to live.”

He will also continue to meet all regulations required for the city.
