Danny Joe Sevy, 60
Beloved son, husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle and friend, Danny Joe Sevy passed away on October 30, 2019 at the family home in Pinehurst, Idaho. Danny was born September 1, 1959 in Wallace, Idaho; the son of Kennith and Jacqueline (Berg) Sevy.
Danny was a lifelong resident of the Silver Valley. He attended and graduated from the Kellogg High School Class of 1977. Shortly after graduating Danny married the love of his life Crystal Sevy. Together they raised four beautiful children whom Danny would say are his greatest accomplishment.
Danny worked as a Chemist for SVL Analytical for a number of years and was looking forward to his retirement. When Danny wasn’t working, he was volunteering his time as the Leader of the Boy Scouts of America Troop 322. He was also a proud member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
Danny had many interests and hobbies. He loved spending time in his wood shop, not only making various wood creations and knifes, but teaching others his craft. He was very much involved with the youth of the Silver Valley and was a kind, caring and compassionate man. He was a champion pinewood derby car builder; helping many children build winning cars. When he wasn’t working in his shop he loved going up the river to go camping. He was known as the camp mayor because he was the friendliest guy around. He also enjoyed tying flies, fishing, skiing and golfing.
Danny is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Crystal Sevy; his mother Jackie Sevy; four children, Christopher (Amy) Sevy, Stacey (Derrick) Sharp, Dannielle (Tony) Wright and Shea (Katy) Sevy; eight grandchildren Tatum, Caddis, Andrew, Molly, Bryce, Emily, Annie and London. Danny is also survived by two brothers Pat Sevy and Bob (Kelli) Sevy, and numerous nieces and nephews. Danny was preceded in death by his father Kennith and brother Steve.
