KPD Roll Call: Sept. 24-Oct. 1

•Assist County in Smelterville with an out of control subject possibly with a gun. Cleared county assist.

•Dispatched to a report of unwanted subjects at the Silver Mountain Resort. The subjects were partaking in the hot tubs, but were not staying at the resort. They were removed at the request of resort staff without incident. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT). Luckily for probie, they all had their cloths on this time.

•Traffic Stop on the eastbound dike road between Hill and Division St. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.

•Found property at the Kellogg City Park bathrooms. The items were recovered for safekeeping. Cleared, public assist.

•Citizen Contact at the 800 block of Division St. in Wardner with a suspicious subject known to have a history of performing vehicle burglaries. One adult male was taken into custody for Criminal Possession of Financial Transaction Cards, Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Cleared, felony arrests.

•Words from the Chief: “Been several complaints of speeding vehicles in the 500 block of Bunker Ave. A little emphasis patrol in that area is needed when you get a chance.”

•Emphasis on the 500 block of Bunker Ave. from 1840 hrs. to 1940 hrs. Conducted one traffic stop regarding speed. Way to kowtow the Chief, K77.

•Assist K72 with arrest/paperwork/evidence.

•Paperwork to Court for in-custody.

•Traffic 800 block S. Division, verbal for speed (32/25).

•Several vehicles came up for tow, checked all locations and vehicles have/had been moved already.

•Stationary patrol 400-500 block Bunker- 25 minutes, 0 stops/contacts/violations.

•Civil issues/questions/contacts at KPD.

•V.I.N. inspection on the 100 block of W. Elder.

•Citizen contact on the 100 block Legion Ave. Regarding vandalism. Extra patrols were requested.

•Multiple citizen contacts at KPD. One regarding a parking complaint on Cathryn. Attempting to locate the owner of the vehicle to speak with them. The other citizen contact was regarding property being stored at the PD. Individual was referred to another officer who handled the incident.

•Paperwork to court for in-custody

•More paperwork at KPD.

•Evidence work/prep.

•Body cam video migration.

•Property returned to owner and sorted in report.

•Multiple citizen contacts at KPD.

•Evidence work.

•Conducted follow-up interviews.

•Traffic Stop at the intersection of McKinley Ave. & Government Gulch. One male was taken into custody for DUI and possession of paraphernalia. Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.

•Took a theft report at the end of Government Gulch Suspect caught on a game camera. Suspect later contacted law enforcement and returned said property back. Victim decided not to press charges. What a lucky guy.

•Took another Theft report from the Bradley Flats of a UTV. Yamaha Rhino is a faded green Rhino with aluminum doors, broken/loud muffler and a letter R on the hood. If anyone sees this UTV, please call KPD.

•Citizen contact at the KPD and the individual wanted information about our forms.

•Responded to the 100 block of E. Riverside for a vehicle crash. Report was taken.

•Welfare check for a possible suicidal individual on the 100 block of W. Riverside. Spoke with the individual and discovered they were A-O-K.

•Dispatched to another welfare check on the 100 block of Station Ave. After speaking with them K77 discovered they were not suicidal but just upset.

•While K77 was on his welfare check, County responded to a 911 hang-up at the 10 block of Jacob Gulch. K77 arrived a short time later and County got a couple of arrests out of it.

•Responded to an agency assist for a stranded motorist on I-90-mile post 52.5. Nickerson’s Towing picked up the vehicle a short time later.

•Assisted K72 with his traffic stop on I-90.

•Traffic Stop on I-90 Eastbound Milepost 51 (violation occurred in the city). Cleared, citation issued for Driving Without Privileges and Fictitious Display of Plate.

•Assisted County Deputies with locating a subject in Kellogg. Cleared, Other Agency Assist.

•Dispatched to assist the County with a traffic hazard on I-90 Eastbound at Milepost 52 for a log in the roadway. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Suspicious vehicle in the Cameron Conoco parking lot that the attendant asked to be checked out. Cleared, unfounded.

•Dispatched to a report of a disturbance at the 100 block of Legion Ave. One male was taken into custody for Aggravated Assault and Domestic Battery. Cleared, felony arrest.

•Suspicious vehicle parked near the gate at the top of Wardner. The occupant just decided to sleep in their car instead of their bed for some reason. Cleared, Unfounded. Probie is obviously NOT married.

•Traffic Stop at the Hill St. I-90 Westbound on-ramp. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.

•Called to 400 block W. Park for burglary not in progress. Cleared report taken.

•911 hangup X2 at Morning Star Lodge. Two separate rooms. Both code 4.

•Assist County at 583 commerce with possible 29 subjects. Cleared other agency assist.

•Conducted emphasis on the 500 block of Bunker Ave. Made three traffic stops.

•Transported property from a resident on the 100 block of Legion Ave.

•Tagged a vehicle for 48 hr. tow at the end of Cathryn.

•Attempted paper service in Smelterville. Contact was made and paper was served.

•Patrolled in cold and snow, yet it was better than watching the Viking game this week. Thinking Colt Bennett might be a better choice at QB.

•Landline request regarding vehicle involved in a crash being left in a parking lot. After tracking several people and companies down, found out the tow was contracted to retrieve the vehicle and should be along shortly. Public assist, later found the vehicle was removed without incident.

•Vehicle tagged for 48-hour removal as it was not displaying license plates 100 block E. Portland.

•Traffic stop Mullan/Division, verbal for speed.

•Parking ticket Division at I90 parking in yellow/no parking zone.

•Parking ticket X2 Mullan/Division for parking in sidewalk/intersection.

•Unwanted person on the 10 block of E Market. Gone on arrival.

•Traffic stop Hill and Legion, verbal warning for speed and vehicle registration (expired).

•Vehicle tagged 48-hour removal 124 E. Market.

•Assist Fire 300 block Maple for reported smoke coming out of chimney. Nobody home and nothing showing. Fire called and left message for home owner, if something more shows later on, entry will be forced.

•Landline request regarding dog issues/complaints, issue had been resolved by the time contact was able to be made (no answer for several hours). No longer an issue.

•Possible domestic in front of Silver Mountain, subjects were gone prior to arrival/dispatch. RP called in and before information could be relayed to officer, they called back to say the people were no longer there (left in unknown vehicles in an unknown direction of travel).

•Assisted with reports for ITD (some paperwork was left off an arrest from last week). Able to fax paperwork to ITD for completion.

•Traffic stop in the KMS parking lot after following the car and watching it slow down, almost stop then go again, stop and then go again. Found to be person from Poland and he was trying to find cell service for his phone. Cleared verbal.

•Follow-up conducted at the 400 block of Main St.

•Civil Paper Service at the 700 block of Bank St. in Wallace. Cleared, papers served.

•Traffic Stop at the 200 block of W. Cameron Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.

•Citizen Contact at the 100 block of Legion Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for no headlight on bicycle at night.

•Traffic Stop at Hill St. & Bunker Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for no headlights at night.

•Traffic Stop at Main St. & Mill St. for no taillights. Cleared, report taken.

•Traffic stop at S Division and Railroad Ave. Verbal for equipment.

•Assisted a female locate her dog that ran off from her. Cleared, public assist.

•Stationary patrol Mission Ave.

•Report of stolen vehicle (called in to KPD). Turned out to be a repossession, owner was notified to contact lien holder. Unfounded.

•Report of tree down on Rails to Trails 3200 block McKinley, information relayed to Idaho Department of Recreations for removal.
