| October 7, 2019 5:14 PM

CATALDO – Shoshone County Fire Chief’s Association (SCFCA), which includes members from all local fire departments and wildland fire agencies, have determined it is time to move the fire danger to Low for the local area: effective September 27, 2019.

The SCFCA would also like to announce that burn permits for all burn types are now open, which include residential yard waste, burn barrels and slash piles.

To obtain your free burn permit please visit burnpermits.idaho.gov or contact your local fire department. Please remember you are responsible for acquiring and adhering to the requirements of the permit. Burn permits are required until October 20.

The fire safety burn permit system helps to inform fire managers where burning activities are occurring, reducing the number of false runs and saving firefighting resources for instances in which they are truly needed.
