Mae Lou Guenthner, 83

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Mae Lou Guenthner, 83, of Osburn, Idaho, passed away Oct. 6, 2019, at Shoshone Medical Center in Kellogg, Idaho. She was born Nov. 3, 1935, in Sidney, Mont. Mae was the daughter of Arthur and Emma (Reinhart) Zeller.

Mae attended schools in North Dakota. She was united in marriage to Luther L. Guenthner on March 30, 1952, in Hazen, N.D. Luther passed away on May 20, 2010.

Mae moved to the Silver Valley in May 1954.

Mae had served as a Certified Nurses Aide for 38 years working for the Shoshone County Nursing Home, as well as, the Silver Wood Good Samaritan in Silverton. She not only served as a CNA, but also as a hairdresser and she managed the Assisted Living division at the Silver Wood Good Samaritan.

Mae was a member of the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg.

Mae so loved and enjoyed her family, arts and crafts, gardening, and board and card games. In her younger years, she enjoyed snowmobiling and motorcycles.

Mae is survived by two daughters, Debbie M. (Allen “Bucky”) Fulton of Pinehurst, Idaho, and Cara (Rick) Blanton of Sedro-Woolley, Wash.; three grandchildren, Stacy (Jeff) Kendrick of Missoula, Mont., Travis (Amber) Fulton of Ponte Vedra, Fla., and Kim (Colby) Dennard of Columbus, Mont.; and seven great-grandchildren, Joseph, Jameson, Banks, Quinn, Aidyn, Chloe and Brenna; two sisters, Gloria Legault of Osburn, Idaho, and Cleo Morris, also of Osburn. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Mae was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Luther; three brothers, Melvin, Ivan and Jerry Zeller; and one sister, Velva.

Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14, 2019, at the American Lutheran Church in Kellogg, with Rev. Alec Rivera officiating. A reception and luncheon will be held for family and friends in the Church Fellowship Hall following services; everyone is welcome.
