KELLOGG — Kellogg High School’s Drama class has begun showing their fall production “The Curious Savage.”

Under the direction of KHS drama instructor Paul Roberts, the play tells a story about the fine line between our personal interpretations of sane and insane.

“The heartwarming comedy by playwright John Patrick, centers around Ethel Savage, a wealthy woman who is sent to a sanitorium by her greedy stepchildren who desire to keep control of the wealthy Savage Family Estate,” Roberts explained. “While she is cloistered, she meets some rather unique fellow ‘guests’ who welcome her into their close knit family.”

Throughout the show, the eccentric, yet lovable Mrs. Savage attempts to find her place in her new world.

This large ensemble cast includes many of our experienced class of 2020 actors, including Daighla Williams, Harley Duce, Joslyn McGregor and Ryan Carlson, and stars newcomer Tiereny Perkins in the lead role as Ethel Savage.

The story takes place in the 1950s, post World War II-era New England, and teaches the valuable life lesson about what you see and how you see yourself.

Will her new friendships be enough to help Mrs. Savage find peace, in spite of her conniving stepchildren?

Come and find out as KHS Drama presents “The Curious Savage.”

Shows have already began, but will continue at 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 26 and will conclude with evening performances at 7 p.m. Monday and Tuesday, Oct. 28 and 29.
