Charlene Lee Keller, 76

Beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister, Charlene Lee Keller, 76, of Wallace, Idaho, passed away September 6, 2019 at Kootenai Health of Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho. She was born February 5, 1943 in Wallace; Charlene was the daughter of Benjamin and Bernadine (Sherry) Siers.

Charlene attended schools in Wallace. She resided for a time in San Jose, California, but returned to the Silver Valley in 1979.

Charlene married Lanie Keller on September 1, 1985 in Lake Tahoe, Nevada; Lanie passed away in 2017.

Charlene had served as a cook at the Sweets Café of Wallace, the Lincoln’s Silver Dollar Café of Montana and as a cook/dietician for the Mountain Valley Care and Rehabilitation Center of Kellogg; she then retired. Charlene had also enjoyed traveling long-haul truck driving with Lanie.

Charlene loved and enjoyed spending time with her family, gardening, gambling and face book keno games and cooking- she was a wonderful cook.

Charlene is survived by six children Debra (Steve) Melton of Wallace, Idaho, Don (Julie) Taylor of Sioux Falls, South Dakota, Micheal Taylor of Guerneville, California, Michelle (James) Hamilton of Hidden Valley Lake, California, Mark (Briana) Cole of Milton, Florida and Chris (Christy) Cole of Kellogg; three step-children Lanie Carl Keller, Lynette Hauser and Tammy Keller; fifteen grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren; one brother Derry Siers of Tucson, Arizona. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Charlene was preceded in death by her husband Lanie, one sister Sheryl Paramo and one step-daughter Tina Babar.

A Celebration of Charlene’s Life will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 4:00 P.M. at the Wallace Inn (Gold Room) of Wallace; everyone is welcome.

The family suggests that memorials may be made to the Shoshone Pet Rescue, P.O. Box 884 Kellogg, Idaho 83837.

Charlene was dearly loved and looked up to as the matriarch of the family, she will be greatly missed.
