Mountain Valley has big time promotions

KELLOGG — Over the last few years, Mountain Valley of Cascadia has really become the benchmark for quality in the rehabilitation and skilled nursing care field.
Under the guidance of facility CEO Maryruth Butler, the facility has seen numerous American Health Care Association awards, as well as received the prestigious Malcolm Baldrige Award.
As of last week, Butler was promoted to president of Cascadia’s Northern Idaho and Montana region.
“I am very excited to announce that Maryruth Butler has accepted the opportunity to support our business leaders in Northern Idaho and Montana as president,” Cascadia’s principal COO Doug Bodily said. “Maryruth has shared, lived and led with our core values long before there was a Cascadia. Being a force for good is who she is. She understands firsthand the diligence, devotion and patience that are needed for progress to be sustainable. Step-by-step since 2001, her teams have climbed in achievement within our industry. I look forward to working alongside Maryruth in her new role.”
Filling such a massive hole would normally be an incredibly difficult task for anyone, but fortunately for Mountain Valley they have such a person already.
Emilee Kulin has been with Mountain Valley since 2008, where she has filled numerous roles throughout the years.
Perhaps no one is more excited for Kulin’s promotion than Butler herself, who was eager to discuss many of Kulin’s accomplishments over the years.
“While Emilee is assuming a new role at Mountain Valley, she is no stranger to the center,” Butler said. “Since 2008, she’s been a key senior leader and integrated part of Mountain Valley’s quality journey contributing to the national successes over the past 11 years. Through Emilee’s leadership skills, she secured a Qualis Health Award of Excellence in Healthcare Quality in 2017 and two state of Idaho Technology Grants. She is an enthusiastic entrepreneur, and community advocate, as evidenced in 2012 earning a Master of Science in family and consumer sciences from the University of Idaho and in April 2018 receiving her Nursing Home Administration license.”
Kulin was exceptionally complimentary of Butler’s work in the Kellogg facility and expressed how much she will be missed, but also happy for her to be part of the regional leadership going forward.
“The team at Mountain Valley is so excited for Maryruth. While it is bittersweet to not have her daily presence at our center, we are so pleased that Cascadia Healthcare has chosen her to be president of the North Region where she will spread her wings and wealth of knowledge to our other Cascadia skilled nursing facilities throughout Idaho and Montana,” Kulin said. “Her commitment to excellence and her never-ending desire to be a force for good will be paramount to her continued success and achievements within this industry.”
