NORENE D. CAPPARELLI

| September 13, 2019 12:50 PM

Norene D. Capparelli, 87, of Osburn passed away on Saturday, August 31st, 2019 at Living Springs Senior Living in Post Falls, Idaho. She went peacefully surrounded by family after a long bout with dementia.

Norene was born April 19, 1932 in Joplin, Montana to Jack and Helen Adams. She grew up in Osburn and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1950. Norene met Arthur Capparelli at Britt’s Garden Spot (now Osburn IGA) where they worked together. They married on September 10th, 1950 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church in Wallace. In 1952, with the help of his family, Art built their family log home at the top of Terror Gulch where they raised their four daughters. Norene’s most important job was being a stay at home mom, but she also was a tax accountant at Beneficial Finance and sold Avon for 10 years. She was a member of the Osburn Baptist Church where she was a deacon, Sunday School teacher, and part of many organizations within the church. She enjoyed flower and vegetable gardening, canning, baking, making Elderberry wine, watching soap operas, and making every holiday a family affair. She sported a license plate that said GRAMCAP, which is a direct reflection of the proud grandma she was.

Norene is survived by her two daughters, Bonnie (Buddy) Sutherland of Post Falls, Idaho and Terrie Capparelli of Wallace, Idaho. She leaves behind 7 grandchildren: Brian Hodgson, Chrystal Anardi, Stephanie Moore, Renee Fisher, Billy Sheldon, Angie Newburn, and Kaci Philp, and many great-grandchildren including one great-great grandchild. Norene is also survived by her brother, Jack (Blanche) Adams, several nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Preceding Norene in death was her husband, Art Capparelli; daughters, Debbie Blake and Cindie Patton; her brothers, Don and Jimmy Adams; and her sister, Lois Derbyshire.

Norene was loved dearly and will be greatly missed. There will be a celebration of life in her honor at a later date.
