Morbeck Foundation awards grant funds

WALLACE — The Directors of The Frank A. Morbeck Community Foundation, Inc. are pleased to announce that the Foundation has awarded $82,500 in grants to Wallace-area community and youth organizations for calendar year 2020.

The foundation is an Idaho nonprofit corporation that was created by Frank A. Morbeck to benefit the quality of life in and throughout the community and surrounding area of Wallace by fostering and enhancing charitable giving and philanthropic purposes.

Morbeck died in May 2000 at the age of 78. He left the majority of his estate to the Foundation. Morbeck established the foundation to provide a means for the community and its youth to enjoy the benefits of his years of investing in the community.

Unfortunately, due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the annual banquet will not be held. The foundation’s Board of Directors applauds from a safe distance all grant recipients and Morbeck’s generous gift to the Wallace community.
