Galena Ridge Golf Course opens Saturday

KELLOGG – Galena Ridge Golf Course is set to open on Saturday, April 25. The course, located in Kellogg, Idaho as a subsidiary of Silver Mountain Resort, will be enjoying an opening day earlier than previous years. “The course wintered extremely well, thanks to our new greenhouse tarps,” said Golf Course Superintendent Geoff Haynes. “They’ve kept the greens in better shape through the winter than ever before.”

The course has made some policy changes to help guests stay safe and healthy during the pandemic. Bunker rakes and ball washers have been removed, and flagpoles have been raised to eliminate touchpoints on the course. Online booking for tee times is new this year, making it easier for guests to book tee times.

“We are excited to offer an outlet for people to get outside and do something fun,” Silver Mountain manager Jeff Colburn said. “We hope our golfers will help by observing social distancing and following our new policies so that we can all enjoy a great golf season together.”
