We want your pictures!

KELLOGG — Wildcat seniors get your pictures ready!

The folks at Shoshone Glass want to ensure that, despite the not-so-normal circumstances surrounding the class of 2020, these kids get their time in the sun.

Lori Sawyer, a KHS grad herself, as well as a proud grandmother of a member of KHS’s graduating class, came up with the idea of displaying the photos from the senior class on the side of their shop in downtown Kellogg.

“I have a gal who comes and paints my window periodically and I decided to put Grace’s (her granddaughter) picture up with it and thought, you know what, this would be cool to do for everyone,” Sawyer said.

Sawyer had seen staff members at KHS decorate their doors before and given the unique circumstances surrounding the world today, she knew that this might be the only opportunity these kids might have to get their pictures displayed publicly as a group.

“Of course with having a granddaughter up there, I’ve known most of these kids from the time they were little, some of them from Grace’s kindergarten class and it just breaks my heart that they’re not getting everything the way that I feel like they deserve,” Sawyer said. “I’ve had a pretty good response so far and I hope to get as many pictures up in front of the store as I can.”

She’s not just wanting senior photos either, Sawyer would like to get any photos that she can from seniors.

“I don’t care what it is,” Sawyer said. “If it’s you and your buddy from kindergarten, or a picture of you and a group of friends doing something together. We want to see the KHS class of 2020 all together as much as possible. We just want to honor these kids any way that we can.”

Photos must be printed and delivered to Sawyer, if anyone drops off an original image that they want returned, they should write their name and phone number on the back.

Students and parents can bring photos to Lori Sawyer at Shoshone Glass located at 132 W. Cameron Ave. in Kellogg, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday through Friday, or can reach Sawyer at 208-783-1159.
