| August 6, 2020 3:11 PM

Jimmy Dean Cawyer, 58, passed away peacefully at Hospice House of Coeur d’Alene on July 26th.

He was born December 15, 1961 in Phoenix Az. to Edwin and Patricia Cawyer. Jimmy was raised in several towns across Arizona, New Mexico and California. He grew up playing little league baseball and pop warner football but was denied the opportunity to join ROTC. Jimmy was diagnosed with type 1 diabetes at the age of 16 and suffered many drawbacks over the years. He graduated high school in 1980 from Los Lunas, N.M. Jimmy then ventured out as a handyman for a few years until finding what he truly loved to do, cleaning carpets. He spent the next several years building his own clientele, cleaning carpets and working for himself. He loved spending time with family and friends, singing and dancing, and would never pass up a chance to go Karaoke. Jimmy is survived by his wife Rena, of 18 years, mother Patricia Boeving, father Edwin Cawyer, and sisters Sandy Crump, Cindy Anderson, and Barb Hyer.

We would like to say a special thank you to the paramedics at Pinehurst Fire District #2, Shoshone Medical Center, Kootenai Medical Center, Schneidmiller Hospice House of Coeur D’Alene, and Yates Funeral Home of Coeur D’Alene. Their dedication, hard work, empathy, and understanding has been greatly appreciated and will never be forgotten.
