•Before my shift starts, I skim Rants and Raves looking for the rants that have comments like “you should call the police” or just stuff that looks like I am going to have to deal with later so I know what kind of shift I’m going to have. Yup, today should be interesting.

•Burglary not in progress on the 700 block of S. Division. Clear report taken.

•Abandoned vehicle on Mullan and Oregon. Clear, owner was able to move vehicle.

•Requested to help Probation and Parole for found paraphernalia. Clear, misdemeanor warrant arrest.

•Paper service at 100 block of H Street. Clear, papers served.

•Called to the 300 block of McKinley for malicious injury to vehicle. Clear, report taken.

•Responded to call on the 600 block of Chestnut for person falling off a roof. Clear, other agency assist.

•Assisted K78 with DUI. Clear, agency assist.

•Worked on reports.

•Vin inspection at KPD. Clear, public assist.

•Assisted K78 with domestic in progress. Clear, agency assist.

•Domestic investigation assist Cameron/Division (battery took place in the county).

•Responded to the 10 block of E. Cameron Ave. for a battery. Discovered the incident took place outside city limits and was referred to another agency.

•Handled a landline request regarding theft. Discovered the incident took place in another city. Referred to another agency.

•Towed an abandoned vehicle on Station Ave.

•Assisted County with Citizen Contact 100 block W. Cameron. Clear, other agency assist.

•Dispatched to a harassment call 400 block of Bunker. Clear, referred to other agency.

•Landline request for follow up on same harassment call. Clear, NAT.

•Foot patrol Kellogg city park.

•Vehicle maintenance (943 has new tires now).

•Assist with reports (K78).

•Responded to the 300 block for an unlawful entry. Checked the building but were unable to locate the suspects because they fled the scene.

•Dispatcher to the 10 block of W. Mission Ave. for a 911 hang-up. All individuals were ok and didn’t need law enforcement. Kids were playing with a disabled cell phone.

•Dispatched to malicious injury to property at Kellogg City Park. Individuals were trespassed from the park and driven home.

•Citizen contact at Kellogg City Park regarding dogs. Individual was given a warning.

•Citizen contact at Kellogg City Park regarding metal detecting. Individual was given a verbal warning and left the area.

•911 hang up 10 block Railroad avenue. Clear, UTL.

•Dispatched to disturbance 600 block Bunker Ave. Clear, bachelor party had left upon my arrival.

•Land line request for possible stolen property. Clear, public assist.

•Dispatched to found property Kellogg city park. Clear, cellphone recovered.

•Dispatched to Disturbance Trail Motel. Clear, parties separated.

•Dispatched to domestic 100 block W. Market. Clear parties separated.

•Dispatched back to Trail Motel for domestic. Clear, misdemeanor cite & release x3.

•Citizen contact Kellogg city park x3 - Clear, juveniles educated on park hours.

•K77 assisted District 2 Fire on the 600 block of Bunker Ave. with a fire that was a controlled burn, however it got out of control. K77 helped the fireman by holding their hose (attached photo).

•Conducted stationary patrol on E. Cameron Ave., W. Cameron Ave., Bunker Ave. & McKinley Ave. Made one traffic stop and gave a verbal warning for speed.

•K77 assisted District 2 Fire with an unknown fire on Vergobbi St. Fire turned out to be an attended controlled burn at a residence. The Fireman didn’t let him hold the hose this time.

•Citizen contact Kellogg City Park. Clear, reminded of park hours.

•Dispatched to 300 block W. Brown for found paraphernalia. Clear, report taken.

•Responded to the 600 block of 2nd St. for a burglary alarm. Checked the residence and discovered it to be secured and not broken into.

•Dispatched to the 10 block of N. Division for a 911 hang-up. Checked the area but was unable to locate anyone in need of assistance.

•County assist X2 for related incidents in the 200 block of Main Street, Smelterville. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Man, it’s HOT wish it would snow. No not really, but it is hot out.

•Traffic stop in the 500 block McKinley for no tail lights, verbal

•Traffic stop in the 200 block of Cameron Ave. for equipment, verbal

•Landline request regarding property return. Made contact with both parties and there seems to be some miscommunication somewhere, but the person is able at any time to retrieve their property. Message relayed. Property located in the 200 block W. Mission. Cleared, civil.

•Attempt to locate reckless semi-truck eastbound I90 called in by off-duty LE, requested to setup on I90. When I got to I90, I was advised they were already past Kellogg. Unable to locate.

•Suspicious vehicle/persons 400 block Main Street Kellogg, report of vehicle parked in city lot with people possibly living in the vehicle, garbage collecting around vehicle. Located vehicle and there was nobody around. No garbage seen.

•Open door E Portland. Looked like the realtor left the door open when showing the house. Cleared NAT.

•Assist County on Old River Road at MP 2 with a group of floaters out of hand. Cleared, assist.

•Assist County Cameron Ave. with a person that had some bad meth. Cleared, assist.

•Called to Kellogg Ave. for a person yelling help. K76 or K73 could not locate said person.

•Burglary alarm in the 300 block of McKinley Ave, False alarm, was able to contact a responsible to get the alarm taken care of. Cleared, false alarm.

•Landline regarding suspicious persons around West Pack on bicycles checking doors. Cleared UTL.

•Citizen contact in the Silver Mountain parking lot, vehicle door was open, male just had it open due to it being hot. Cleared NAT.

•Civil paper service, attempted x2 / negative contact x2.

•Tagged a vehicle for 48-hour removal in the 500 block of W. Mission.

•Traffic stop 50 westbound on-ramp, verbal warning for stop sign (W. Cameron and Hill).

•Follow-up for burglary investigation for K79, statement placed in his box.

•Found property 100 block E. Portland, property entered for destruction, report taken.

•K74 scoured the city looking for his patrol vehicle antenna, found it....and it’s broken.

•Traffic accident McKinley Ave. Report taken.

•Citizen contact on the 300 Block of Mullan regarding neighbors. Clear, public assist.

•Suicidal subject 200 block of W. Cameron, subject with a knife in a bathroom. Arrived and this was confirmed. Subject was seeking help, help was offered and accepted. Ambulance transported to Kootenai Health without incident. Report taken.

•Civil paper service, attempt x 1 (negative contact) / served x 1.

•Complaint of boat trailer in the 10 block of W. Mullan, unable to find any owner information on the trailer and there were no plates. Trailer was towed and a report was created.

•Complaint of camping next to the bike path behind Fairbridge. Complaint is that they are on city property and crossed over bike path with a vehicle, contacted subject and told them to move. Very polite and apologetic, could not get too upset as they were parked right next to a sign reading “Hillside Recreational Area (historical sign).”

•VIN inspection 10 block W. Mission, Public Assist
