Two Silver Valley men arrested for rape

| December 10, 2020 7:08 PM

WALLACE — Jail bookings from the Shoshone County Sheriff's Office show that two individuals were arrested Wednesday for rape and other accompanying charges.

While both arrests occurred on the same day, SCSO Lt. Jeff Lee clarified to the News-Press that the men were taken into custody by different agencies and that the incidents are entirely separate from one another.

The first individual listed in the bookings is Gregory Allen Ingalls, 51, of Kingston. Ingalls was arrested following an investigation by SCSO and is facing charges of rape and lewd conduct with a child under 16. Each count carries a maximum life sentence. Ingalls bond was set by the magistrate at $75,000 on Thursday and a preliminary hearing is scheduled.

The second arrested individual is Logan Vaughn Silva, 22, of Kellogg. Silva was arrested following an investigation by the Kellogg Police Department and is facing charges of rape and having an outstanding arrest warrant. The rape charge carries a maximum life sentence. Silva’s bond was set at $100,000 by the magistrate and a preliminary hearing is scheduled.

Due to the active nature of both investigations, neither agency would comment on the arrests at this time.

According to iCourts, both Ingalls and Silva currently have no-contact orders filed against them that pertain to criminal cases.

The Shoshone County Prosecuting Attorney's Office asks that if anyone has any information about these cases or any others, please contact your local law enforcement.

In all cases, an individual is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
