Kellogg Police Department

•Citizen contact at the intersection of W. Mullan Ave. & Cedar St. for individuals doing donuts in the intersection with an ATV, unfortunately they were not maple donuts so he was asked to stop. Verbal warning was given.

•Responded to the 10 block of E. Portland Ave. for dogs running at large. Returned the dogs to their home but was unable to make contact with the owner. More follow-up will be conducted as the dogs are currently on probation right now with the city.

•Booked a dog into the Kellogg Pound. Cleared, public assist.

•Citizen contact in the Cameron Conoco parking lot, the vehicle they were driving had no plates, but did have bill of sale as well as insurance on the vehicle. Cleared verbal.

•Responded to the 400 block of Bunker Ave. for a disturbance. Individual was given a verbal warning about the arguing taking place inside their residence so late at night.

•Traffic stop at railroad and division, verbal warning.

•Attempt To Locate (ATL) for wanted vehicle in connection with incident in CDA. Cleared Unable To Locate (UTL).

•Noise complaint 100 block of E Portland. Couldn’t hear any noise from outside, but made contact and told them to try and keep it down.

•Extra patrol with K77 around new D2 fire building.

•Foot patrol around water treatment facility.

•Welfare check/ noise complaint 400 block of Bunker Ave, made contact with said party and told them to keep it down.

•Handled a landline request regarding an easement dispute. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Traffic Stop at the 900 block of Bunker Ave for incomplete stop. Cleared, verbal warning.

•Traffic Stop at the 10 block of Railroad Ave for registration and no front plate. One male was temporarily detained for violation of a protection order. The order was confirmed lifted the day prior by the court and he was released. Cleared, verbal warning.

•Traffic Stop at the 100 block of S. Hill St. for incomplete stop. Cleared, verbal warning.

•Dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on the 100 block of E. Idaho. Checked the area but was unable locate said individual.

•Conducted foot patrol on Bunker Ave & McKinley Ave.

•Dispatched to a possible drunk driver on the 100 block of Hill St. K77 located and followed said vehicle for a while but did not observe any indications that the operator was intoxicated.

•Assisted K76 with a traffic stop on I-90 and assisted K76 with a citizen contact on the 100 block of Hill St.

•Dispatched to a vehicle hit and run on the 100 block of Kellogg Ave. Report was taken.

•Dispatched to assist Fire with a fire alarm at the Kellogg Middle School. Cleared, other Agency Assist

•Dispatched to a downed line on the roadway at the intersection of Station Ave. & Thorn St. Cleared, public assist.

•Traffic Stop at the 500 block of N. Division St. Cleared, citation issued for failure to provide insurance and license plate violation.

•Dispatched to a one vehicle traffic collision involving a light pole at the 800 block of W. Cameron Ave. Cleared, report taken.

•A little breezy today.

•Dispatched to a tree on a communication line about to fall on a parked vehicle. Contacted the owner who moved the vehicle. Turned the scene over to the Fire Department. Cleared, public assist.

•Assist with tree getting ready to fall in the 400 block of Price. Property owner/management company contacted by Fire in regards to the tree, they also handled contacting neighboring property owner in the event the tree falls, it will fall onto a building (the Old Panhandle Health Dist building). Agency assist.

•Report of fencing down in the 300 block of Ohio and W. Park, no damage to other property and a section of fence came down. Notified Street Department for them to check on Monday to see if this is even city property.

•Landline request regarding property damage from wind. Street sign from Wildcat and Bunker was brought to KPD and turned in, will be turned over to street department after the weekend.

•Assist K76 on traffic stop with warrant arrest at Hill Street and Riverside. Subject taken into custody without incident.

•Called to the 600 block of S Division for a female unconscious, not breathing, in a hot tub. When K76 arrived on scene, female did begin breathing and was transported to the hospital. Cleared, other agency assist.

•Citizen contact x2, suspicious males appearing to throw things off the bridge on Hill street into the river. Cleared NAT.

•Traffic stop for stop sign violation at Hill Street and Riverside, passenger in the vehicle had an active warrant out of our county. Male was arrested on said warrant without incident.

•Called to Silver Mountain for an intoxicated male, however situation was taken care of prior to our arrival. Cleared, NAT (thinking his wife got to him before the po-po did).

•Called to Silver Mountain for suspicious person. As K75 arrived, he found the individual in his room. While still on scene at Silver, K75 and K76 were dispatched to a group was leaving the water park yelling. Alcohol might have been a factor, but no further issues while K76 and K75 conducted foot patrol.

•Called back to Silver Mt. for 911 hang-up. Accidental call, RP tried to dial the non-emergency line, but hit the emergency call button. RP was code 4. Cleared NAT.

•Assist county with traffic stop in Kellogg. Cleared other agency assist.

•Foot patrol on Bunker Ave.

•Citizen Contact at the 100 block of Railroad Ave. with an individual flagging down K72 regarding questions about a malfunctioning vehicle door. Cleared, public assist.

•Traffic stop at the 500 block of W. Cameron Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.

•Traffic stop at the 100 block of S. Hill St. Cleared, verbal warning for obstructed plate.

•Traffic stop at Legion/Hill. Verbal warning for headlight.

•Called to 10 block Railroad Ave for suspicious person. Cleared NAT.

•Theft report 100 block of Legion. Cancelled prior to arrival.

•Attempt to locate erratic driver from I90, vehicle was located and unattended.

•Traffic stop at I90 49 on-ramp, verbal warning for speed on Jacobs Gulch.

•Traffic stop, lower 3rd and railroad. Verbal warning expired registration.

•Traffic stop, W. Mission and Hill. Verbal warning for equipment (brake lights not working and only 1 tail light, turn signals working and driver stated dashboard just went out prior to the stop. Possible fuse issue).

•Traffic stop at Chestnut and W. Cameron. Citation for DWP, verbal warning for expired registration, insurance (it was brought to the vehicle by licensed driver).

•Verbal warning given for parking in no parking zone in the 10 block of W. Mullan Ave. It was verified this was a brief stop to pick up children.

•Dispatched to an unwanted subject on the 100 block of E. Portland Ave. Individual was gone prior to my arrival and did not return.

•Handled a citizen contact at the PD regarding a hit and run case K77 is currently working on. Individual wanted to share with K77 some info.

•Conducted foot patrol on Bunker Ave.

•Worked on reports and did a little researching.

•Foot patrols Bunker Avenue.

•Assist Probation with subject at Trail Motel. Provided courtesy transport to SMC for evaluation, self commit.

•Traffic stop, Jacobs Gulch. Verbal warning for seat-belt use and obstructed operator view (more than 3 persons in the front seat).

•Traffic stop, 600 block of Bunker Avenue. Verbal warning for reckless/careless (spinning out from the parking lot into oncoming lane of travel). Driver put through field sobriety evaluations, alternate driver on-scene and released vehicle to other driver. Given the weather, K74 felt they would have been under the legal limit by the time of breath sample.

•Landline request regarding dog bite, spoke with person and this took place about 5 months ago with neither party living in Kellogg. Advised a report would not be needed based on the communication between the parties and vaccination records already being obtained. Public assist.

•Landline request regarding child custody issues and/or violation of court ordered paperwork. This is occurring in Spirit Lake near the Kootenai/Bonner county line. Advised to contact Spirit Lake to see if arrangements could be made for a welfare check of the residence, since they do not know the address. Referred to other agency.

•Received information that a person to serve civil papers on is at the location currently, there is no paperwork received to be served at this time.

•Dispatched to the 100 block of Hill St. for a possible intoxicated individual. After speaking with said individual K77 determined they were not intoxicated.,

•Responded to a disorderly individual on the 600 block of Bunker Ave. Individual was place on a detox hold at the jail.

•Dispatched to a vehicle crash at the intersection of W. Mission Ave. & Oregon St. After conducting the investigation, one male was booked into jail for pedestrian under the influence, cited and released for DUI and cited for no insurance.
