KPD Roll Call

• Assisted Health and Welfare on a home visit regarding possible child endangerment. One female was issued a misdemeanor citation for possession of paraphernalia. Cleared, misdemeanor cite and release.

• Received a report of possible credit card fraud that may have originated within the city. Conducted follow-up but was unable to determine that the information was taken within the city. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

• Dispatched to a 911 hang up at the 700 block of Bunker Avenue. After making contact with the caller, determined it was an accidental dial. Cleared, unfounded.

• Dispatched to assist Fire with a person that fell and hit their head. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Catching up on report work from the computer/internet outage.

• Dispatched to a suspicious vehicle on the 10 block of Jacobs Gulch. Vehicle was gone on my arrival.

• Citizen contact on the 10 block of W. Cameron Avenue. Gave a verbal warning for rolling a stop sign on Bunker Avenue/Hill Street.

• Handled a landline to the PD. Individual wanted to notify about possible drug activity.

• Traffic stop in the 400 block of Bunker Avenue for failure to dim, verbal.

• Motorist assist at the Bunker and Hill intersection, helped a male and female push their car off the road way. Cleared, public assist.

• Traffic stop in the 200 block of E. Cameron Avenue for speed, verbal.

• Traffic stop at the intersection of Railroad Avenue and Hill Street. Conducted field sobriety tests to determine if the individual was driving under the influence of their prescribed medication. The individual did not meet criteria for intoxication. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop and turn signal violation.

• Traffic stop at the 100 block of N. Hill Street. Cleared, verbal warning for speed.

• Traffic stop at the 800 block of S. Division Street. (Violation occurred in the city.) Cleared, citation issued for speed.

• Called to the 500 block of W. Riverside for a domestic in progress. Wasn’t a domestic, however, some intoxicated individuals were arguing. Cleared, peace restored… well, maybe not so much.

• Called back to the same residence a short time later for the same thing, however, this time a male subject was not cooperating and was subsequently taken into custody. Sometimes intoxicated people think we are bluffing and test us when we say “if we come back someone is going to jail.”

• Conducted stationary patrol on Bunker Avenue. No one committed any traffic infractions while K77 was there.

• Traffic stop at the intersection of Legion Avenue and Hill Street. Cleared, citation issued for no insurance.

• Traffic stop at approximately the 1500 block of McKinley Avenue. Cleared, verbal warning for fail to signal.

• Contacted a pedestrian attempting hitchhiking at the I-90 milepost 51 eastbound on-ramp. Advised to keep off the road. Cleared, verbal warning.

• Handled a landline request regarding possible found paraphernalia. Received the items for destruction. Cleared, public assist.

• Contacted a pedestrian to conduct a probation check at the request of their probation officer. Cleared, NAT.

• K72 was in training this week (might be why roll call is a little shorter this week), but did relay that he got his first one-fingered wave the other day.

• Called to the 300 block of W. Mission for a civil matter. Cleared, civil.

• Called to Shoshone Medical Center regarding a female who had been in an incident in Spokane a week prior. Cleared, NAT.

• Traffic stop in the 600 block of Bunker Avenue improper use of turn signal/reckless. Driver was arrested for 18-8004 and injury to child. Cleared, arrest.

• Called to I-90 WB for vehicle slide off into trees. Upon arrival, no injuries. County deputy and his K-9 Lulu were requested to assist. Driver was arrested for multiple possession charges. Cleared, felony arrest. Passenger was also cited and released for paraphernalia.

• Assisted probation with a home check at the 300 block of E. Portland Ave. Cleared, NAT.

• Motorist assist at the 800 block of W. Cameron Avenue. Assisted the driver with locating a business to replace a tire. Cleared, public assist.

• Dispatched to a report of unlawful entry at the 400 block of W. Mullan Avenue. Two parties were trespassed from the residence and the victim refused charges. Cleared, NAT.

• Located a wanted subject at the 300 block of S. Division Street. One male was taken into custody for an outstanding arrest warrant. Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.

• Dispatched to conduct a civil standby at the 400 block of W. Mullan. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to assist as a cover unit with a report of shots fired in the county. Cleared, other agency assist.

• Dispatched to a report of trespassing at the 200 block of Main Street. It was determined to be a civil issue. Cleared, NAT.

• Dispatched to a report of a verbal altercation at the 600 block of Second Street. Determined it to be verbal only. Cleared, NAT.

• Courtesy transport from Cameron Avenue to E. Idaho.

• Assisted county with DUI in Pinehurst. Driver was non-cooperative before K75’s arrival. Cleared, other agency assist.

• 911 open line at Silver Mountain, all was code 4. Cleared, NAT.

• Civil stand-by 100 block of Legion. Upon arrival, this was more of a welfare check request in the 500 block of W. Park. All parties were fine and the welfare check was not needed. Advised no further contact between parties as this was more of a phone harassment/stalking issue.

• One vehicle unknown injury crash on Alhambra 600-700 block. Confirmed this was out in the county.

• Courtesy transport … had to try three different locations as the subject was unsure where he was staying, alcohol was a factor. Cleared, public assist.

• Assisted county with a suspect walking around Upper Page with a large knife, possibly walking into houses. After following footprints from house to house and up and down the hillside, officers were finally able to locate Mr. Knife guy meth walking toward Smelterville. He was arrested by county for possession of meth and unlawful entry.

• Dog found running at large in the 100 block of Legion/Railroad, took dog to the pound from the persons that located dog.

• Contact subject at their residence reference dog being boarded in the pound. 500 Block of Elm.

• Released dog initially located running at large to owners.

• Found property turned in to Kellogg City Hall. Located owner of property for return in Pinehurst (Driver’s License was found, turned in and returned to owner).

• 400 block of Main Street, spoke with subject regarding front license plate (it was attached and not hanging), advised to renew vehicle registration as well. This was not a traffic stop as the vehicle was parked.

• Attempt to locate reckless driver westbound I-90 from milepost 53, semi-truck with black tarp. Unable to locate.

• Assisted K75 with a traffic stop on the 400 block of W. Cameron Avenue.

• Assisted county with an unwanted subject in Smelterville. Subject gone on arrival. Cleared, assist.

• Traffic stop 400 block W. Cameron for stop sign violation. Cleared, verbal.
