KPD Roll Call: Feb. 19-26

•Report of 2 dogs at large near McDonald’s. Located dogs later on in the 900 block of W. Cameron, they were being tended to by owner. While they are not on a leash, they are using the large field next to the loan place for the dogs to run...sometimes they make their way to McD’s. Advised owner and they will keep a better eye on them.

•Follow-up for K73 Public Nuisance investigation (dogs barking) - located owner of dogs on W. Mullan Ave and issued citation. Supplemental report added.

•Found property Hill street near I90, lanyard with key and charms turned over to Dave Smith Motors to see if they belong to an employee (will check on the status upon return).

•Spoke with juvenile at Kellogg City Hall per parent/guardian request regarding taking weapons to school/on school grounds. No action to take as it did not take place in Kellogg.

•Missing/overdue person last seen at Dave Smith Motors several hours ago, no working phone. Located subject just at the same time they notified family they were fine and on their way home. No further action taken.

•Building check on the 10 block of Station Ave. Building ended up being secured.

•Conducted foot patrol on Main St.

•Attempted to locate an overdue female in the city. Female was located later on and we discovered she was ok.

•Traffic stop in the 200 block of W Cameron for speed, verbal.

•Citizen contact in the 500 block of North Division regarding a vehicle with expired registration.

•Called to Shoshone Medical center for a suspicious male sitting in the lobby, male was recognized when K77 arrived on scene and when his information was run, he had a warrant out of Kootenai County. Cleared arrest.

•Landline request regarding possible squatters in a residence. K77 later discovered there were no squatters.

•Citizen contact at KPD regarding a certain individual and their drug usage. Information was taken.

•Dispatched to a possible suicidal subject and K77 attempted to locate only to find out later on the subject was actually in New Jersey. Cleared referred to other agency.

•Stationary patrols W. Cameron (no stops), Stationary Station Ave (no stops), E. Cameron (no stops). Total time 1 hour between all locations.

•K75 was called to McDonald’s for 37 code violation. Upon K75’s arrival, it was discovered the individual was smoking real tobacco (not the wacky kind). Cleared NAT.

•Parking complaint 600 block Bunker Ave. Vehicle parked in the emergency vehicle zone. EMS was not able to park there for a medical call. Vehicle was cited with parking violation. Cleared NAT.

•Called to McDonald’s for a petit theft. Cleared report taken.

•Patrolled...and actually got to see the sunlight today!

•Motorist assist Hill St. I-90 overpass vehicle ran out of gas, K75 helped push it to the Conoco.

•Fight not in progress at Silver Mountain. Parties gone prior to my arrival. Cleared parties separated peace restored.

•If you have not noticed, K75 shaved his beard and I’m thinking that he should not ever do that again. It’s just creepy.

•Assisted K75 with fight not in progress. Cleared assist.

•Traffic stop at Cameron and Jacobs gulch for crossing double yellow, verbal given.

•Traffic stop at Hill Street and McKinley for headlight out, verbal.

•Traffic stop at McKinley and Main Street for no tail lights, verbal.

•Called to Silver Mountain for a highly intoxicated male in the lobby, Wife was located and assisted him to his room. Cleared, public assist.

•Bar checks.

•K76 made contact with a large group of individuals at Silver Mountain that had left Dirty Dog earlier and were intoxicated, they were causing issues in the hot tub and were asked to leave. Cleared, thanking his lucky stars that they all still had their clothes on.

•Made contact with the same group of individuals in the Silver Mountain parking lot saying they were going to drive to a friend’s house, after speaking to them, they decided to walk. Cleared, public assist.

•While at Silver Mountain, K76 was contacted in the Silver Mountain lobby by a female who was looking for her friends. Was able to advise her that they were walking home (she was part of the big group).

•Contacted a vehicle sitting in front of the old fire station with no lights on in the middle of the road way, individuals were in a rental car and accidentally turned the headlights off and couldn’t get them back on. After helping get their headlights on for them, they were on their way. Cleared, public assist.

•Citizen contact with two vehicles at the Gondolier. After speaking with them, it became a domestic investigation- verbal only. However female did have a damaged/ broken and bleeding hand from punching a mirror. After investigating, nothing criminal took place and female was checked out by medical. Cleared, peace restored, parties separated.

•Contacted a pedestrian attempting hitchhiking at the I-90 milepost 49 on-ramp. Cleared, Necessary Action Taken (NAT).

•Report work.

•Attempted arrest warrant service at the 600 block of W.

•Riverside Ave. Cleared, negative contact.

•Traffic stop at the intersection of Hill St. & Railroad Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for turn signal violation.

•Removed debris from roadway 10 block of E. Market (sounded like broken glass in a bag), NAT.

•Traffic stop 900 block Bunker Avenue, verbal for speed 31/25.

•Called to assist County on a traffic stop, K-9 Lulu had a positive hit. K75 stood with driver and passenger while vehicle was being searched. Once another deputy arrived, K75 cleared other agency assist.

•Noise complaint 200 block E Portland Ave. Cleared verbal warning.

•Landline request regarding information about a juvenile. After collecting information, referred to other agency (outside of Kellogg and also referred to Health and Welfare).

•Parking issue 100 block of E. Mullan, contacted owner of vehicle and had them move it out of the middle of the road.

•Follow-up on found property from last week, no owner from Dave Smith. Item collected and placed in the lost and found drawer at City Hall.

•Civil stand-by 100 block of E. Portland, management wanted to tell someone to stop yelling...this was completed with further information given that if behavior continues, charges for disturbing the peace would be in order.

•Attempt to locate possible DUI eastbound I90 mile post 48. By the time it was relayed, it had been 3+ minutes, Unable to Locate (UTL).

•Out of control juvenile 400 block of W. Brown, parent/guardian seeking medical attention for juvenile. This was a medical episode, non-criminal.

•Patrolled side streets and alleyways.

•Extra patrol Station Ave.

•Alarm 400 block Cameron Ave. All code 4.

•Fire alarm at the Fairbridge. No fire all code 4.

•Fraud/stolen check case. Cleared report taken. Arrest made.

•County assist at KHS for a student issue. Cleared assist.

•VIN Inspection 300 block W. Brown, unable to access vehicle’s VIN so this turned into a Civil Stand-by while another vehicle was retrieved. Other family showed up and it turned into a little bit of fun, but just in the yelling way. Vehicle was retrieved and parties were separated.

•Traffic stop 800 block Bunker Ave. Verbal for speed.

•Assisted county with traffic stop I90 eastbound MP 50. Canine deployed without a positive hit, cleared.

•Traffic stop Cameron/Jacobs Gulch, citation for speed 35/25 on Bunker (40 minutes past being in a school zone). Had to catch up to the vehicle again at mile post 46 to confirm the vehicle was not stolen (loaner that was due back several days ago). Manager initially said the vehicle was sold, but confirmed this is a loaner and they were allowed to have it.

•Traffic stop 600 block of Bunker, verbal for speed 34/25.

•Disturbance 200 block of McKinley Ave. Parent vs child (adult) with one party being asked to leave, courtesy ride for one party to Mullan to restore the peace.

•Dispatched to the 200 block of McKinley Ave. for an unwanted individual. The unwanted individual was later transported by law enforcement to another residence in Mullan to keep the peace.

•Assist county with vehicle transport.

•School patrol.

•Fight at Kellogg Middle School, this will need to be followed up tomorrow as not all parties were on-scene upon arrival (early release and late call). K73 will brief K72.

•Traffic stop I90 at 49, verbal for speed 34/25 on Bunker Ave. Verbal for purchase Idaho Driver’s License within 30 days, verbal for Idaho registration within 90 days (the 90 days was approaching since moving).

•Civil paper attempt, negative contact.

•Tagged vehicle for removal in front of 219 E. Idaho, vehicle was later gone and the call was closed, expired vehicle registration on city right of way.

•Traffic stop McKinley and W. Park, verbal for headlight.

•Welfare check 200 block of Oregon, person (child) was there and accounted for.
