KPD shot of the week.
•Called to Morning Star Lodge for domestic in progress. Upon arrival, discovered it was verbal only. Cleared peace restored.
•Traffic stop MP 48. Offense occurred during one of K72’s stops. Cleared verbal.
•Responded to assist Fire with a smoke alarm at the Silver Mountain Resort. Determined that the alarm was activated by an individual smoking marijuana. One male was issued a misdemeanor citation for Possession of a Controlled Substance and Possession of Paraphernalia. Cleared, misdemeanor cite & release.
•Dispatched to a fireworks complaint at the 500 block of W. Park. Fireworks stopped prior to arrival and unable to locate source. Made contact with the reporting party. Cleared, NAT.
•Traffic Stop at the intersection of W. Riverside Ave & Price. Cleared, verbal warning for headlight out.
•Traffic Stop at the 300 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.
•Traffic Stop at the 700 block of Bunker Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop.
•Traffic Stop at the 100 block of S. Hill St. Cleared, verbal warning for no front plate.
•Traffic Stop at the I-90 milepost eastbound on ramp (violation occurred in the city). Cleared, verbal warning for headlight out.
•Traffic Stop at the 700 block of McKinley Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop and failure to maintain lane.
•Traffic Stop at the I-90 milepost 49 westbound onramp (violation occurred in the city). Cleared, citation issued for Invalid License and Failure to Register.
•Trespassed subject from a property in town.
•Reports, catching up for the end of the year including crash reports.
•Landline request regarding fire alarm from previous shift, they wanted the persons talked to and I advised this was already taken care of by the prior shift with a citation issued.
•Business alarm 400 block W. Cameron, building checked and secured with false alarm.
•Citizen contact at KPD, subject was waiting on Deputy to arrive for interview.
•Vehicle burglary 200 block W. Cameron, backpack taken out of the bed of a pickup. Statement given and report generated.
•Assisted county with 29 service. Cleared other agency assist.
•Conducted a building check on the 10 block of E. Cameron Ave. Buildings were secured.
•Citizen contact at Kellogg City Park on Theater Rd. Individuals left the area after being told the park is closed after dark.
•Assisted County with a warrant service in Smelterville.
•Agency assist 400 block Main St. Wardner. Cleared other agency assist.
•Traffic stop Bunker Ave I90 overpass. Cleared verbal for failure to stop.
•Personnel/administrative day (not to be mistaken with Personal). Out of office early to deal with administrative issues over in CDA/Post Falls area.
•Assist County with an unwanted subject at Johnny’s Bar. Cleared as soon as county arrived.
•Assist SMC with same subject from Johnny’s Bar as he was intoxicated and being not nice to the nursing staff.
•Unwanted guest at the condo’s on McKinley, Subjects thought it was a public hot tub. Subjects gone on arrival.
•Patrolled side streets and alleyways.
•Traffic Stop at the 600 block of Bunker Ave. Cleared, citation issued for Driving Without Privileges.
•Courtesy transport provided from Kellogg to the 51700 block of Silver Valley Rd. Cleared, public assist.
•Traffic stop at the 200 block of W. Mullan Ave. One male was taken into custody for Driving Under the Influence (Excessive). Cleared, misdemeanor arrest.
•Conducted follow-up at the 100 block of E. Portland Ave regarding an on-going investigation. Cleared, NAT.
•Traffic Stop at the 100 block of W. Mullan Ave. Cleared, verbal warning for incomplete stop and failure to signal.
•2 vehicle crash 400 block S. Division, turned over to County as this involved city vehicle.
•Continued work on trying to implement e-Impact onto bullpen computers (yet another voicemail left in the saga).
•Receipt of property back from State Lab, updated reports and moved property (several cases).
•Called to Silver Valley Tire for fight in progress. Neither party wished to pursue charges. Cleared report taken.
•Assist county with vehicle search. Cleared other agency assist.
•Fight in progress at SVT. Cleared report taken.
•Assist K72 with traffic stop. Cleared agency assist.
•Traffic stop on Hill St. for equipment. Cleared verbal.
•Traffic Stop at the 700 block of W. Cameron Ave. for incomplete stop and failure to signal. One female was issued a misdemeanor citation for Possession of a Controlled Substance. One male was taken into custody for Possession of a Controlled Substance (methamphetamine and marijuana over 3 oz.), Possession of Paraphernalia, and Unlawful Possession of a Firearm. Cleared, felony arrest.
•Assist with Search and Rescue operations at Silver Mountain - location of an animal. Animal is/will be taken care of.
•Welfare check 300 block W. Mission, subjects were contacted/located prior to arrival. No check needed.
