Duane Robert Carney, 73

Duane Robert Carney, 73, of Kingston, Idaho, passed away January 15, 2020 at Pacifica of Pinehurst, Idaho. He was born April 25, 1946 in Kellogg; Duane was the son of Robert Emmett and Betty (Carpenter) Carney.

Duane has lived in the Silver Valley all of his life. He attended and graduated from Kellogg High School in 1964.

Duane had served as a miner and had worked at the Bunker Hill Mining Company, as well as, various other area mines. He also was a logger and had worked for several logging companies. And lastly, Duane had worked on the road maintenance crew for Kootenai County East Side Highway.

Duane loved and enjoyed the outdoors- fishing and hunting; he also enjoyed drag racing.

Duane is survived by four children Deedee Carney of Wallace, Idaho, Dan and his wife Amy Carney of Cataldo, Idaho, Devon and her husband Dane Chapman of Poulsbo, Washington and Lindsey and her husband Ryan Mann of Cataldo, Idaho; eight grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; he is also survived by several nieces and nephews. Duane was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers Jim and John and two sisters Roberta and Judy.

A Celebration of Duaneā€™s Life will be held at a later date.
