Elsie Jeanette Clark, 92

Elsie peacefully passed away on January 17, 2020 at her home in Spokane, WA surrounded by her family.

Elsie was born on March 31, 1927 in Carrington, North Dakota to Ernest and Lillian Messall and attended school there. She married William Lofstedt with whom they had three children. They moved to the Silver Valley in Idaho. They later divorced. She married Russell Clark in 1964.

She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother. Her faith was very important to her. She was a member of Bethany Lutheran church. Elsie was a homemaker and she was a clerk at the Osburn Drug store. She spent many years helping at Miss Joni’s dance studio which she dearly loved. She was always baking cookies for everyone to enjoy. Her family and friends meant the world to her and she will be missed by many.

Elsie is survived by daughter Linda Winfrey (Gary) of Spokane, WA and sons Michael Lofstedt (Denise) of Kirkland, WA and Carl Lofstedt (Cindy) of Absarokee, MT and stepdaughter Sherry Shook, grandchildren Julie Grubb , Melanie Lofstedt, Joshua Isaacson and Chris Hough and sisters Lois White and Alice Phelps along with great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and dear friends.

Upon Elsie’s request, no memorial services will be held. A celebration of her life will be held this spring.
