Lila Rose Crawford

| July 16, 2020 3:08 PM

Our beloved mother Lila Rose Crawford passed away peacefully into her Father’s house on July 9, 2020 with her family by her side. Lila was born on February 13, 1927 at her family’s farm in Buhl, Idaho. She weighed 1½ lbs at birth and survived to everyone’s surprise! She was a survivor through the course of her life and inspired not only her family but those who knew and loved her. Lila went to cosmetology school in Missoula, MT where she later met & married Robert Stroud. They owned and operated several restaurants throughout Montana and eventually settled their family in Smelterville and operated the B & L Cafe along with their five children. Upon Bob’s death, she later met and married Lawrence Crawford who introduced her to the joys of hunting & fishing. They had many great adventures throughout the Northwest. Her greatest passion was oil painting and she was a very accomplished artist. She owned an art studio in Silverton where she taught classes, and later offered classes out of her home in Cataldo.

She is survived by one brother, Dale Anderson and five children Andrea Gardner, Becky Pierce, Rene’ Brown, Jeanne Hart & Robert Stroud Jr., and numerous grandchildren. There will be a memorial in her honor on July 25, 2020 at 10:00am at 482 Diamondback Drive, Spring Creek, NV. Interment will be held at Hunt Cemetery in Kingston, ID at a later date. She will be greatly loved and missed by her family and friends.
