WALLACE – The Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office is asking the public for information regarding the theft of an ATV that occurred in Wallace last Thursday.

ATV and Red Light Garage owner Jamie Baker tells the News-Press that the theft occurred around 9 p.m. on the night of July 16.

The suspect initially scouted out the ATV, which was parked at Baker’s office at 209 5th Street, and then returned later wearing a dark colored hoodie.

With the keys left in the ignition, the suspect simply started it up and drove off. The ATV is described as a red 220 Kawasaki 4-wheeler.

Camera footage of the theft shows the suspect as a white male with a goatee and a tattoo on his left calf.

Baker explains that he has owned the ATV for 13 years and regularly uses it to drive around town and make trips to the grocery store.

If you have any information regarding this incident, contact the Shoshone County Sheriff’s Office at 208-556-1114 Ext. 1 and ask for deputy Darius Dustin.
